The free agency has not yet seen from the big names changing zip codes. Most of this players have not yet found the best decision that they will make. But some has already agreed on the terms and agreement with their former teams. Dirk Nowitzki was one of them. He close a deal with the Mavericks for a 4 years contract amounting for $80 M.

well even if he is a good player i think his kind of play is dying and not that good without good players surrounding him.

he is always in the middle or 3pt line in the offensive side. with his height i think its best if he is in the inside and such.

Dear kenneth101383
Meeee again. I had heard a rumor that Dirk was leaving the Mavericks. I'm glad he signed and will stay for 4yrs. He is a good fit with the Mavericks.

Hi TestLadyPj,
It is a good choice for Dirk and $80 Million is worth the player that he is. Dallas can make a run for the championship this year. They must have a solid center to do this. Haywood and Dampier has the size to matchup with the rest of the centers in the NBA. But they have not really established an intimidating presence in the paint. They need a center with the likes of a Dikembe Mutombo-type of a player. Even if it is not an offensive threat but the superiority of defense is all that matter. Kendrick Perkins may be a perfect fit for the roster of the Mavericks, assuming that the Celtics will trade Perkins.

I think that's a wise move for Dirk. Personally I don't want to see him play in any team aside from Dallas. All they need is another big man that can really man the post. Go Mavs!
