I have a very nice older cemetery that is nearby. I can walk in a outer loop of the cemetery. Did you know that cemeteries were first advertised as places to stroll and have picnics? Thats part of the idea in making them look like city parks.
I enjoy looking at the marble statues and some of the bigger monuments.
Does anybody walk through their cemeteries?

Hmm this is very interesting info I didn't know about the picnic stuff. So that's why cemeteries are so peaceful and comfortable. I myself love taking strolls in cemeteries. Day or night I don't care. It calms me. Doesn't even have to be a cemetery that my relative is in just any random clean cemetery would do. Such calm can't be duplicated I don't know why. Very interesting, pepcat. Thanks!

A few years ago, my then boyfriend took me to see where his parents were buried. It was the first time I'd been through a cemetery. It creeped me out so much that I felt I had to whisper the whole time I was in there. I never did like them; even passing by one in a car makes me queasy.
