I have been instrumental in organising classmates' get togethers and we have such 'do's regularly. There is one thing I have observed however and that is no matter who has reached what heights we still put that classmate on a pedestal who was there on the pedestal during the time we were in school which I feel is not quite the right thing to do. We should I feel recognise those who are achievers and therefore need to be put there instead. Your views please.

Yes. You are right. When people have achieved something, that has to be recognised with due respect. After all they have excelled in something. Why not accept their achievement?

But somehow that just does not happen. When classmates meet whoever we held in high esteem continue to enjoy that status.

Just because they may have been great in High School doesn't mean that they are great now.
