I super like fish balls, dipped in sweet & hot sauce. Yum... And of course who can't resist Taho (Tahô is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal (brown sugar and vanilla syrup), and pearl sago (similar to pearl tapioca)). Can't wait till tomorrow. What about you, what's your favorite street food?

Street foods are fast vanishing here where I live. If there was one I like the most it has to be Cendol as it is called here. It is actually a dessert of shaved ice in coconut milk with green strands of dough made from flour. Within its fillings are red beans, sweet corn and grass jelly to name a few. And all these generously topped with palm syrup. I admit I do have a sweet tooth.
The only place I can find my favorite cendol is no more on the streets now but in the food courts. Other things have been included like the durian, jelly and the sea-coconuts. Sometimes I can find it in a night-market as these roving vendors move from town to town. I do relish but not as I used to. I have probably outgrown the craze for cendol now as its essence has somewhat lost after moving from the streets to a more modern cafeteria.

I super like the fish balls to, but I like to eat more of kwek-kwek or the eggs covered in orange skin, especially when I put in vinegar! Yum yum! Now I'm hungry and want a kwek-kwek. Nothing beats taho too, plus I also eat isaw (intestine) and barbecue, but not much as fish balls and kwek-kwek. Actually, this is one of the things that I like when working. When you are tired or hungry, these street foods are just the things to satisfy your hunger. :)

My favorite street food is egg cakes. I'm not sure if that's what it's called but it looks a little like waffles with little bumps all over it. It's kind of like cake but not too sweet. I've loved egg cakes since a little child. It's great to have as a snack sometimes. I hear in the Philippines there is a street snack that is fried ice cream. I hope to try that one day. Happy mylotting.

Well here in my country there are not so much options but when I am out I prefer eating a pizza, of course, who does not love pizza, it is one delicious street food. Also I like eating sandwiches and hot dogs. I like eating all kinds of street food that I see out but I know it is very unhealthy that is why I restrict myself and I don't eat street food every day.

I like taho (Soybean custard), fish ball and isaw (chicken intestines).
I remember I use to eat taho a lot each morning when I was young and would really run out of the house with my tumbler and wait for the taho vendor to pass by our house. And I usually request additional sago (pearl tapioca) and syrup.
I don't usually buy them specially those on the streets where they are exposed to the smoke-belching jeepneys. If we really want to eat street foods, we just prepare one in our home. At least we know that it is safe to eat.

Taho sounds wonderful. I am going to have to look it up on the internet. We don't have vanilla syrup around here, but I'm sure there is a way to make it.

My absolute favorite is funnel cake. This is a deep fried cake that is made out of the same kind of dough that is typically used for waffles or pancakes. It is so fattening, but it is also so very delicious. I typically only allow myself to enjoy one of these once or twice in a year. The other thing that I really enjoy are gyro sandwiches. If I was able to enjoy these two things on the same day, I would absolutely be in heaven.

My favorite street food is roadkill. Cross a small car with a squirrel--YUM!
The Taho sounds very yummy! I'm from the states and have never tried it. By street food, do you mean food you can purchase from vendors right in the street? In my area the only thing that comes close to that is a carnival where there are different vendors selling those items, such as elephant ears (a fried rather dry pastry covered with confectioners sugar) hotdogs, cotton candy, candy apples, sausage on a stick, etc. I guess if I go to the big city, Detroit, there are probably some vendors but not many. The only one I can think of is the hot dog guy by the city county building.

Taho, fish ball and chicken skin are my favorite street foods! My mother would scold be because of my frequent eating of these foods but I can't help. I love taho especially there was a time that I asked the vendor to always pass by our house so that I could buy. In the end I got used with the taste, now I just buy eat sometimes.

Oh I like street foods but I buy them only in malls; those that are really clean. I think it's dirty when you don't even know how those food are made. I keep the receipt so in case something happens, I can sue the dealer.

I also like taho since I was a kid. Until now, I always buy taho almost every morning for me and my baby. When outside, I love eating one-day-old (fried chicks) and also fish balls. They not only taste good, but they are also inexpensive. But I'm trying to lessen eating fish balls now, because I'm afraid already that I might get sick because of that. Most of the street vendors are not practising right food sanitation. But if only I know that they are completely clean I would love to eat those eveyday.
