By Wed. it will be 103 as a high, now the gardens can really grow. Things have been so slow here this year. Are you ready, have you staked, weeded, watered and fed so that your plants are in tip top shape to start preforming? Or are you way ahead of us and already, canning, drying and freezing more vegatables and fruits than you can possibily eat? Just looking at all these things to be done and you see what a lot of work home gardening is. Blessings

Unfortunately due to dealing with my husband's ongoing issues with kidney stones and an infection that doesn't seem to want to react to any of the antibiotics he's been given, we haven't had the opportunity to plant a garden this year. It really is a shame too because our weather has been perfect this year for a very successful garden. Oh well, there is always next year I do suppose and I'm already making a list of the things that I want to try.

Our lawn was suffering so badly from the rain and some lawn disease that mostly enjoys moist cold weather in the west coast of US. Now finally we will have a chance to have a better grass without that fungus. And maybe we'll also have some flowers.

Only when I am hit by this winter cold here in Australia that I really miss the hot weather in my country. I should have waited for summer to visit this place. It is really cold here and it shocked my whole system.

I'm nowhere near ready to harvest, although everything is growing well. It's in the 90's here, too hot for me but the garden seems to be doing very well. My beans, in fact, were doing not much of anything till the heat wave hit then the blossoms popped out meaning I'll have beans soon! My peas aren't doing so well, though. I think they're a lost cause this year although I might plant some more today or tomorrow.

I’m in Australia and in the West where we live the cold weather has broken an all time record. This is the 14th day under 5 degrees Celsius and the majority have been zero to two degrees only! I feel the cold so much so as you can imagine I am suffering here! I am pleased that it has warmed up at your end and getting into the gardening. We are just snuggling up near the fire here!

No garden for me here. We're in the middle of a heat wave now and all I can do is sit indoors with the a/c full blast. BUT, I did buy some local strawberries and made jam already lol.

Naw.... I've only been able to harvest one zucchini so far. Weeding & watering constantly! You are right though many garden plants flurish when the hot and humid weather kicks in. I don't get to do any canning or any of that cause my family eats it as fast as it's ready to be picked. I tell hubby all the time we need to increase the size of our garden 12 tomato plants won't cut it & forget about green bell peppers as we don't have much luck growing those.
