Which is the better way to get connected, text or phone
I prefer to text to my friends frequently. There are some reasons behind this. As I don’t have time every day to talk to my all friends and even I don’t have new words each time to talk. But texts are the better way to get connected to them always. I prefer to text, what are your ways.

Unless I need to get hold of someone quickly or need to talk about something important, I always text as well. Same reasons as you, I just don't have the time these days to sit and chat on the phone, believe me sometimes when I have called a friend I have been on the phone to them for a good hour! Text is so much cheaper as well, the only downfall is sometimes if they are out of area then getting an answer can take longer. I always have a phone set to give me reports so I know they have received the message.

I prefer texting as it is easier to use. I will say though that I hate texting language people to use. It looks like a train wreck of words. I mean, I'm OK with lol and btw, but some things are just ridiculous.

it all depends. for emergencies, it is better to call because text usually comes late today.
I am not a text fun. I would rather call than explain things to someone. My family always makes fun of my texting style because it is normally a single letter response.

I used to text, but I don't anymore. Now, I do have unlimited text messaging, and once in awhile my friend will text me, but other than that, I just don't use it. My daughter and I both have Verizon Wireless, so it doesn't take away from either of our minutes to talk, so we prefer that method over texting. My daughter doesn't have unlimited texting on her plan, so she has to be careful, but now that has her teenage son back, she might have to raise it, as he likes to text a lot and I mean a lot. I find that talking on the phone is convenient for me, as my daughter is pregnant and I need to keep in touch with her, and talking to me does go faster, as texting can take time to spell all the owrds and such. Since cell phone keyboards are so small, it takes byer small fingers to be able to use them. Anyway, we both prefer to talk than text each other. Take care, and happy mylotting.

To me, the best way to stay connected with someone is to meet with them and have a conversation with them face to face. However, between the two options you're discussing, I mostly choose to text people over talking to them on the phone. It's more convenient and since I have unlimited texting, it saves my minutes. There are a couple of people who I do prefer to just sit down and actually talk to on the phone to texting however.

I agree that I think talking face to face is the best way to communicate, but between texting or talking, I prefer talking. My daughter prefers texting, as she does it all the time. She's much faster at it than I am--I could have called and talked 4 times in the time it takes to text, because I'm not that good at it. Anyway, I do see the value in texting, especially if people can't or don't answer their phones, or you are worried about using minutes from talking. We have unlimited text, so it would seem to be better to text, but not necessarily for me.

I think that texting is the best in some cases and phone is best in others. So in one way they are equal and in another they are not. So I think that people can and do use one or the other. My wife uses both. She texts and talks.

Hi, 1anurag1. I think the better way to get connected is to just call a person. I would rather call a person and talk to them from my mouth. When I have to text, I have to press many keys and I have to spell out the words correctly. This will take some time to do. I would rather just call a person and talk to them this way.

I will use texting as a way of keeping in touch with people. However, that isn't my preferred method of keeping in touch. You see, even though texting is very quick and it is very convenient. I don't think that it is very personal. Therefore, when I am able to, I would much rather call the person on the phone and talk to them on the phone because that way it is much easier to talk to them and know for sure that it is your friend to whom you are speaking.

I prefer to connect with people by telephone. I like to hear who I am conversing with. Texting is a great form of communication, but it lead to miscommunication if you are not careful.

Text messages are great for those times when you want to shoot a quick message to a friend or family member. Or want to have a short conversation. However, sometimes if you have a lot to say talking one on one over the phone is easist. Though it depends on who you're talking to or what's going on.
For me talking and texting range from person to person. For some I can text with no problem. Others I have to talk. It all depends if the person either doesn't have a cell phone (which most do) or doesn't know how to text. (That would be my partner George) So I have to in that case talk over the phone.
Personally I find texting quicker because I don't talk that much.

It depends on my mood and whether the matter is important or not. Normally I text my friends, but when something is important and I don't want to cause any misunderstanding then I will make a call.
