Hi guys! I've been working as a financial advisor for almost 3 years now. I am a bank based employee. Sometimes I enjoy my work but sometimes I don't. Like today, I didn't go to work cause I really feel lazy and I'm starting to hate my job because of the pressure on making a daily sale for our products and offering insurance to people whom are not really interested. My boss gives me so much pressure that I wanted to quit my job. What do you think should I do?

One of my friends sells insurance too,but he has another normal work as an engineer and usually he works from Monday to Friday as an engineer and as an insurance advisor during the weekend. You can try to find another part-time job you are interested in your spare time and try for some time, then make your decision after several months. So you can choose the better one through compare.Good luck,Bhemzky!

Do you want to manage a business of insurance or others? If it's the same with your current job you should consider carefully,as it's a hard work for a private company to spare the cake with so many big companies or groups. As you have tired of your work so maybe you will run a different one,but be sure to make enough preparation because being a boss means do much work than being an employee.

I want to quit my job now but I cant cause I havent found a replacement yet. I did find one job a few weeks ago and I was already hired there but I didnt report on the day I was suppose to report. Anyway, I am really hoping that I will be able to find a new job so I wont have to deal with all the people here in my workplace. There's no reason for me to stay here but I just have to.

I really do like my job. It gets stressful and the customer can really be rude sometimes. Sure make for a good story we were are done though. My problem is my pay. Back when I first started to work I quickly became a 3rd key manager. I earned $1.75 more then min. wage. Now I use many skills from customer service, typing skills, and phone receptionist; Yet I'm still making only $1.75 more then minimum wage. Another Big difference is now I'm a Mom with two kids and a house payment.
Saddly there is no good answer for you. You should leave your job if you hate it.. there is no good is doing something you hate; on the flip side jobs are hard to find. The jobs that are hiring are low pay. In my position right now people are getting hired at $.70 less an hour, while I'm already mad about the low pay. Some people claim we have bennifits, this still is not true. My work insurance would cost $600 a month for health insurance; I have no clue how they expect me to afford that one.
Look around and see what you can find, but stay put untill you find another job. Remember the grass is not always greener on the other side.

good question. i don't. i wanna quit, but im just waiting for the right time.
if u are really no longer interested in your job, then try to apply to some other companies or shift career, but don't quit yet. If ever u see u will have a good future in your new plans, then, u can leave your job.
but u have to think of it deeply.

I think if you love your job, dont leave it. But if your not enjoying it anymore look for another job that will make you happy.

Yeah you should quit - in my opinion. But don't listen to me. Listen to what your inner voice is saying. The thing is, it's always been my motto to be always happy in whatever I do. And when I'm no longer happy, and I'm not just talking about the normal blues we feel from time to time, I'm talking about severe depression and laziness syndrome - I don't think there's any point to even try to go to work if that's the case. I think working is like a trade-off. I trade my time and effort for money and fulfillment. So if I don't get a good value for what I'm trading off, I just think it isn't worth it. Unless I'm desperate for money I'll probably stay a little longer in that job, but I'll definitely look for a new one and once I find a better job, I'll immediately quit my old job.

I think if you are unsuitable with this type of job than you should be finding a new one and perfect with your character. As we know that every marketing or sales job uses a target as their barometer of succeed. So, if you have a good personality, communication and able to work by a target system, then you should stay in this job. However, if I stated from your statement, maybe you have bored about your job, is it any development in your career after you work for almost 3 years?
As I know, almost marketing field jobs have a good prospect for the future and fast in the improvement of your career, but of course if you manage a good sales result and maybe become one of the top employee in the sales track.
So, you should ask yourself, and see the job prospect for your future. If you have work with all you've got, but the result is not good enough then you should find another one, which is better and promising for your future.

I think, you should quit your job. Really. But, before, make sure that you have another job to replace your current job. That is what I always suggest people to do. Because, finding jobs are not simply like buying something from the supermarket.
I am not trying to tutor you about your life. But, as a grown up man, we should think wisely, right? Try to survive on our own feet and be independent.
Or, if you don't want to work again directly, what you have to make sure that you have enough to spend and survive while you are trying to find another job.
Mm, why don't you wait till you are odd 3years working in that company? Is there any regulation that you will get goodwill when you resign if you have worked for 3 years?
Cos that is my company's regulation.
I also sometimes feel bored bout my jobs.. hehe.. but still don't find another suitable yet to replace it. I wish I can find "work from home" jobs, then doing business. but it still seems to be so far away..
Good Luck!

Well your boss really need to make some money,so he keep asking to all employs to work more cuz of all this financial crisis wich cover all over the world.
U must think if u really wanna quit , i dont know if its easy to find any job in this time of the year, u need to think better on what u like to do more and try to find something that will make u happy.
Or if u feel lazy this days maybe its time for a vacations , im shure your boss will understand it. Tell him u feel to tired and u need some time to collect your energy and after u will be able to complete your sale's maybe more then u did till now.
I wish u a happy job who will keep u with full energy.

I quit my first job since I graduated in 2008 because they pay was not worth the risks and demands of the job and we are not an 8-5 job, rather an any time or no time job. Right now, I am working as a Research Assistant on a project under one of the best public administration people in the Philippines for 6 months. I plan to take up Masters in Creative Writing after the project (so, I'm saving up) and then want to work as a teacher in my alma mater as well as one of the big state universities in the country. Right now, I am enjoying my work as a Research Assistant because the project is interesting and I get to learn a lot under my boss. I am actually hoping to still work under him after 6 months because he knows a lot of things that I can learn from. :)

i think you shouldn't quit. just stick to your job. besides, you've been with the company for three years.
it is really hard to look for a job. i hope you knew how many people are unemployed now. really.. just think how blessed and lucky you are for having your work.
granting that you'll quit and yes you'll find a new job. that still doesn't guarantee you for having a new-opposite-stress-free boss..
to be happy, you should start looking on a new view. it works for me, i hope it'll work for you too..
God bless..

To be true I really want to quit..I joined 1 month before.Even though it is very short period I didn't like working there...The job is good and interesting but the people who are there are totally irritating me...They all talking in front something and talking different when they left..Since I'm new all will say that staff is like that be careful with him..another staff will come that staff is good ...like that..nothing is real..I really didn't like
I will search another job side by and will quit when I got new one...

If you don't like your job anymore, it'll be hell for you to go to work everyday. But be sure that you really don't like the job, because looking for a job today is really troublesome. If you want to change jobs, better find one first before filing that resignation letter.
I'm in a job where there are idle times and times that I get very busy, all sorts of problems appear all at the same time while being pressured by the boss. It just happens randomly. I'm staying here in my job because I could use those idle times earning online or doing some extra jobs. The pay is just minimum but it gives me the time I need to do some other things.
