Can you really make money by assembling products at home or folding mail inserts

I'm like most of us and in need of more income. Thankfully I am making some money online, but it not enough to quite my day job. I follow the number one rule to avoid getting scammed by not paying money for anything, especially for jobs.
I was wondering if anyone found any work from home jobs like assembling products or stuffing envelopes that really pays. I would only consider things that don't ask for money upfront and that includes shipping costs. It is the only way not to waste money and prevent from being scammed.
I'm already writing online and really don't need any more writing jobs. My mind is getting fried with what to write next, I want to find something to do when my mind needs a break from writing.

Finding a legitimate company in this space is very difficult. The basic scam is to charge you for the materials and then conveniently refuse all items you send in on the basis of them not being up to par. Not only do these scams cost you money, but they hurt your self-confidence as well! I'm not sure you're going to find a company that doesn't charge for materials as I imagine they'd go out of business mailing stuff to anyone expressing interest. One company I've heard recommended is New England Crafters, but they definitely charge a lot for materials. You might try to visit the wahm.com forums as they've got a forum devoted just to crafting jobs.

I experience that as well. They call it mental block. That is the reason why after a long period, I am now back in Mylot. Just give it a rest and everything will be back to normal again.

I've never heard of anyone actually making money off of these things. Mostly I've just heard of people getting scammed. The only person I know who has made money stuffing envelopes is my aunt and she did it as an extra for her office job. I think it's better to just stay away from things like this. Make sure you do a lot of research before taking any job like this.
