heredo familial diseases really happen

at first i was so hard headed. my mom told me that we have hereditary diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. despite of all the warnings i didn't listen. i eat sweets everyday, eat fats and ice cream. but just yesterday my doctor diagnosed me of hypertension. i was stunned and at that very moment i wanting to faint. imagine like without sweets.
