Companies now a days target children on their advertisements. This is caused by the shift on decision making lately. Now, most children decide what they want to have. This thing is realize by companies as a great opportunity to increase their capital. So, do you think companies should be able to market to children?

I think the companies should be given the right to market the children depending on the product their selling. Giving the children the ability and the influencing them to decide, i think, is good for the children. I would like to quote, however, that such markets should be limited in a way that it does not influence them negatively.

Marketing to children can be something that is very tricky to do. Granted, on one hand, children are a revenue stream that companies could use to a benefit. On the other hand, it opens themselves up for every single action that the company undertakes to be viewed underneath a microscope by everyone. Companies that market to children are held by different standards and those standards are rather squeaky clean all things considered.
I think if a company feels that their image is right to market to children, then go for it. Of course, if you need to change so much of who you are to market to children, then maybe its not the best decision in the world to market to them. In the end, it truly depends on each individual company and what they should do. Some can market to children fairly easily, while others might have a tougher time adjusting to the different standards.
