Trying find other ways to connect with ghosts instead of a ouiji board

Me and my bf are into ghosts and all and we wanna know if theirs another way to connect wit ghost/spirits instead of ouiji board. We don't want to open up any doorways for evil spirits to come in and then haunt us for life. My dads apartment has 3 ghosts a little girl that loves to play games.(but I haven't seen her but in she knoked my books down around dead time 3 am) theirs a soldier that walks the halls of the apartments.(haven't seen anything from him.) and then theirs one more spirit bit nobody knows what he is. He's just here. And you'll see shadows of him but he loves to play around. Well the history: theirs a train that still runs theough here that usd to drop soldiers off and they came here. Before the apartment was built they had tents up so that the wounded soliers could come here and get healed... And sometimes you could hear people walking too like up and down halls but we think it maybe the people upstairs... But does anybody know how to communicate wit spirits without using a ouiji board or any Wiccan things?

ouija boards are funny old things.
people really don't understand them at all.
they don't open doorways, and you're no more likely to get something "evil" than you are with anything else.
the spirits aren't what moves the planchette. you and the other people using it do. it's unconscious movements of the hands.
the spirit doesn't use the board to talk to you, you communicate psychicly with the spirit, and the board is a means of magnifying that.
if you've ever used a pendulum or a dowsing rod, you know how it works.
there's no spirit moving it. you're dealing with your subconscious knowledge, and if there IS a spirit communicating, they are communicating through you. you're picking up on them.
they do get the attention of spirits, because spirits find it interesting when people try and interact with them.
they're only dangerous if you go into using one with someone you don't trust, or one of you is afraid of getting scary results. if you expect scary results, you will subconsciously create scary results.

There are many ways of communicating with the spirits. One is thru a medium who goes into a trance and tells you what he sense even if his eyes are closed. Another way is thru automatic writing. An automatic writer is someone who sits in front of a table with a paper and a pen, goes into a trance and let his hand while holding a pen moves automatically to see the message on the paper. And you can also hire someone who is clairevoyant or what we call third eye because he can see what you cannot see.
There are many ways but...do this only when there is manifestation. But if there is no manifestation or communication of the spirit, don't do it. Why. You might end up with people who plays with ouija board because you don't know who is responding.
Well if the need calls, I suggest, pray first before doing any of what i mentioned and...never do it by yourselves...be with someone who is on this field as much as possible.
And lastly, do not drive the spirits away, tell them to move on.

You could try the direct approach, the method used by psychics.
If you have some psychic ability you may be able to make direct contact with the invisible beings, and communicate with them. One question here is are you prepared to see them, if you are lucky, in their true form?
Many people need to train first. Only a few can do it without any or much training.
