global warming .... real or hoax

I believe that global warming is a hoax created by Al Gore. the climate has been changing for 1000s of years. It has been proven that the Arabian Desert was once a lush forest so did are cars ruin that too? this myth was started to make money. is it a consistence that the company that gives carbon credits is owned by Al Gore? all this has succeeded in doing is cripple the US by making employers leave the country for some place with less restrictions. check your labels!

I think Global Warming is as true as the Lakers being the 2010 champions. Ypu are right that it happend way before we lived the earth. But Al Gore specified that Global Warming is happening very very very rapid because of pollution, carbon emission etc.

its not rapid at all. I don't know about you buy the summers we have had in NY for the past few years have been cooler than average and the winters have broken record cold all over the world... now I'm no scientist but to me it sounds like cooling not warming.

I side with NASA, the UN, the ICCP, the president of both of the previously mentioned organizations & Nobel Prize Laureate who have all reported to every Government the world over the facts about Global Warming & how the prediction of an ice-free Arctic by the Summer of 2012 by these organizations is being constantly revised for an earlier date. I agree that Al Gore is trying to capitalize on Global Warming by deliberately misleading the public in favor of fattening his wallet. The Governments & a good deal of their countries' people seem also to be siding with Al Gore as far as what has caused Global Warming & how it can be halted. If we shut down all heavy industry, threw away all our cars, had a carbon tax & emissions trading scheme in place & started putting up solar panels & wind turbines... have a guess at how much difference all this would make... virtually none! It will only serve to cripple a struggling US economy & take the financial welfare of the entire world along with it.

so just because some one won the Nobel Prize dose not mean they are the ultimate authority. Obama one the Nobel Peace Prize with less than one year in office and stated that there was no American worthy of the Nobel Prize in Literature I don't give them much credit. Global warming has been going on for years and guess what the arctic did not always have ice( www.canada.com/technology/Arctic ancient past offers glimpse global warming future scientists/3208481/story.html?id=3208481) I know its a mouthful but it is some of the things you don't hear about... Just think 40 years ago the people were afraid an Ice Age its amazing how things change

Your link didn't work, but I managed to follow it through manually. Of course there were times in the entire history of our planet that there was no arctic ice. There were also times when there was no human or animal, maybe plant life too. Four million years ago is a long time! On the same website you've given, it also shows the heading: "Global Warming not Exaggerated. Wednesday, July 7: Allegations that the world's top climate scientists have been exaggerating the threat of Global Warming have been dismissed.". Please see my other topics for a more clear & complete argument. I'm sorry I can't print it here... took me two or three days to type out as I haven't the points on here to be able to cut & paste from Word or Notepad.
Dr. Rajendra Pachauri is a leading authority on the issue by weight of the facts that he is head of both organizations mentioned & won the Nobel Peace prize for his work which has also been consistent with the findings of Climate Scientists & a very well funded NASA who have been satellite researching changes in our Earth & are obliged to its citizens to report their findings. The Doctor's findings have already been scrutinized by a vast array of experts in the field & have still come out on top. He can be quoted as saying:
"If you look at the impacts of climate change on water, on human health, on agriculture, on ecosystems, we really are getting into a zone where these impacts are going to become very serious, even with a one to one and a half degree increase in temperature. So we really don't have a moment to lose & I think if the world wants to stabilize the Earth's climate & therefore minimize or eliminate the threat of harmful impacts, then we have to move very quickly..."

I think global warming is true even in the ancient times because there is no permanent in this world. There is always a change that happens but sometimes we disregard it. Like what is happening to this generation, we are already experiencing global warming, yet many people is not concerned.

the global warming you are talking about is the natural cycle evidence shows that in the past we heated up before we go in to an ice age..
