I was once can say that I am addicted to soft drinks, because I usually drink it after every meal time, four times a day. It's like I can't eat my food without it, I know that some people are addicted to soft drinks despite the fact that I could be a risk to health leading to diabetes.
How about you mylotters? Have you experienced the cravings to always drink a soft drinks?

i dont know if i was addicted to it, but i stopped drinking sodas all together. whenever i would go out i would ask for a bottle of water in place of a soft drink. I dont even miss it anymore.

I love softdrinks. I am definitely addicted to caffeine. I love it and I have no intention of ever quitting it. It's all about moderation. Virtually everything is bad for you if you have too much of it. People just need to choose between self control and self responsibility.

I love drinking soft drink right after meal... Well, sometimes if I have the money to buy :) Or if someone will treat me and I will not say no...
But I try to make it a habit too that right after drinking soft drink I will drink water... So that it will wash out the sugary taste in my mouth and to clean my stomach with those acids that I drank...
A lot of health risk we could get from soft drink... I don't know if you already read an article about soft drink but I remember I once read that if you put a real tooth in a glass and pour soft drink in it and leave it for 24 hours I think... Then get back after 24 hours, you won't see the tooth in the glass...it disappeared... Well, what do you think of that, eh?

I think it's because of it's cabonated content. I think the reason of putting cabonated content to the soft drinks is to help the digestion of food faster. The tooth will not completely disappear because it's too hard, but I think there is still an effect.

It's fairly easy as I mainly drink fruit juices but I do like my soft drinks, especially Britvic 55 which 55% orange and 45 sparkling water. When I was younger I used too, I could easily go through cans in a day and I think companies know this but now I don't drink too much because they've changed the flavours and they taste funny now the government as kicked up about what they put in them.

I was a diet Coke addict for years and recently decided to quit drinking it and have found that I can live without it. Every once in a while I have a craving for it, but that is about it. When I do, I usually have one just to fulfill that craving, but that is all. I had someone tell me what it does to your insides and decided that I didn't need it THAT badly.

I love my coke. I used to drink diet coke for about 30 years until recently. I have read about two hundred articles on how bad aspertain is for you, that I don't drink diet coke anymore. Aspertain is made of mouse poisoning which is syanide which is deadly to us humans too. I can't believe that the government even allows it on the market.
So now I drink regular coke and I have put on about 10 pounds this last year from the sugar in the coke. A can of coke has 160 calories and if I drink 4 cans a day, which is what i was doing, that's 640 calories and then a cup of coffee with cream and two spoons of sugar is another 100 calories and I was dinking three of those a day so now that's 940 calories a day of just liquids. It's amazing I didn't put on 40 pounds instead of 10 pounds.
So now I have limited myself to 2 cans of coke a day and 1 cup of coffee and so that is still 420 calories in liquids which is still way too much. I am trying to eventually cut out the coke altogether but it is so hard because I live a can of coke. I am addicted to the caffine and the taste.

I used to drink a lot of diet coke when I was younger. I suppose it was an addiction because I used to crave it if I didn't have it. Plus coke also has caffeine in it, which is an addictive substance. I somehow grew out of it though, I don't know how.
Now I don't really like drinking soft drinks at all. I find them too sweet and sickly, and I suppose I'm now more aware of the health risks of having too much sugar and also all the artificial stuff that's in these drinks. I prefer to drink herbal tea, which is a lot more healthy!

i don't think i am addicted to softdrinks. i drink soda but not too much. it was taught by my grandparents that drinking too much soda will not do good to our health. and even my 6 year old know about it, that it can even kill people. there was even time that he told me he will not drink coke anymore as it can kill.
i do prefer fruit juices or iced tea over softdrinks.

I use to drink a lot of Cokes, and I still enjoy one from time to time; but I was getting too heavy and my blood pressure was too high, so I stopped drinking so many Cokes and switched to water. I lost approximately 10 pounds as a result, but I really prefer the Coke.

You know that too much is bad for you. I suggest you lower your consumption to a glass a day then eventually you can quit it altogether.
I am a softdrink drinker but I have managed to cut it down to softdrinks on occassions only.
For your own sake, my friend, change your habit.

I think it does not matter to me. But yes sometimes when i go out in the heat. But if i keep myself busy i would not even remember about a soft drink. But in the current situation where i work soft drink is an important part as water is more expensive than soft drinks.

I use to be just like you, always drinking a coke! Just like a chain smoker, when one was gone I was getting another one! Not any more I QUIT!!! I forget when teh last time I had one was. I drink to much lemonaid and orange juice now, I am trying to break that habit to. Right now I am drinking ICE water. Lots of it.
One of the ways I quit, was I quit having it at home. I don't buy it anymore and where we live it is not convient to run to the store. I replaced the pop with the orange juice and lemonaid butright now all I have is the water. Just like the pop, I am not buying it!!!
It is very hard to do, but I started noticing how much weight I was putting on. I have a friend (in his 70's) that drinks diet pop all the time. But he has major kidney problems and I wonder how much he would feel better if he quit the pop, it is killing him. I have another friend that told me she can tell when her husband has had a sugar substitue because he had kidney problems, no pop, no problems!!!!

Hi friends,
I have written here before telling everyone that I am indeed addicted to Pepsi. I drink from 8 to 12 cans of Pepsi every single day. If I don't start my day with a Pepsi, I will get the shakes and actually feel sick. Coffee doesn't do it... it has to be Pepsi. There is no doubt about it.... I am an addict. Thanks Pepsi!!!

Lucky for me, I don't crave soft drinks that much anymore. I used to when I was still studying, it was my alternative to coffee. Now I drink plenty of water to keep me hydrated. It keeps the weight of as well so that is a plus. I try to stay away from it as much as possible, with all the sugar and the calories and the stain on my teeth. Now that I have children, I don't encourage them to drink soft drinks as well, so I don't keep any in our fridge. It's their dad that I have to train! but I guess it rubs in after some time because now, he doesn't drink as much soft drinks as he used to. Hooraay!!!!

I use too to drink soft drinks and I'm addicted as well but in the contrary i avoided it for the reason that you will get diabetes, tonsil problem, and U.T.I and a gas pain and acidic problem so I stop.I'm more on the tea process now before I was always in the hospital because of tonsil and so. And when I stop At start its so hard to stop because I'm craving so much so I have to discipline myself so now I'm a tea badgers he! he! he! Sorry coke craving I'm done.
