My daughter's second birthday is coming up and I'm too busy working that it's hard for me to prepare. How can I make the party fun for her without too much preparation and avoiding high expenses? I also find it hard to find a good theme. It would be nice if this will be memorable since she already knows what is happening around her.

My nephew just had his party and it was themed after Disney's Cars. They had big boxes covered in colorful paper and they glued the eyes of the carhacters on them. The kids can climb inside the boxes and can pretend that they had their own car.
It looked so cool in the pictures and alll the kids enjoyed.
Since your daughter is a girl maybe you can have tiaras for the girls and make skirts out of crepe paper.
Serve spaghetti, Ice cream and cake. That's what kid's like.

Wow!parties.I personal loved to attend parties because it seems that everyone is happy,I became excited every time there are colorful balloons and any birthday paraphernalia.Right now I am actually planning for a for a birthday party for my sister.Just like you,our family also wanted it to be memorable by making it special.Making it special in the sense that we will thing of ways that all her favorite food will be prepared, close relatives and friends will be invited.I suggest that you hire a party company that will do all the work from preparing the food, program as well as they will also provide mascots. But if you wanted to be more cheap, you can actually do it your own.You buy balloons and many decorations to make the party lively. Regarding the food, you can just prepare ice cream, cake, spaghetti, chicken and any children's food will do.Make it simple and inexpensive.Good luck!

I guess it depends on what kind of party you want. One with friends or just a family party. For decorations try your local dollar store, we have a dollar tree, and they have all the decorations that you will need. Balloons, streamer, hats, plates, sliverware, items for goodie bags. That helps with the cost a lot. I found someone local that made cakes and it was wonderful. Try to pick something she enjoys even grocery stores make great cakes and have lots of things to choose from. My daughter loves water balloon we set the rules not to throw them at anyone, but that dosen't matter she still love to just break them. You can find 100 balloons for about $1 most places. Just takes some time to fill them and clean them up. But for easy clean up just tell the kids to bring you pieces to get the next balloon. Make sure no one eats them. You could have a party outside and give the kids bubbles and chalk always a crowd pleaser. Or if you want something small do something she like or take her to the zoo or swimming or something special like that. Good theme might be princess, butterflys, strawberry shortcake, or just bright colors. Hope this helps give you some ideas anyway.

I think you have to consider the things that your daughter like... specially in themes.
