my dog has leg infection

For the last two days my dog seems to have a infection on his left leg. There is pus formation and he constantly licking it. He hasn't been de-wormed for 2 months. I can't take him to a vet right now cause its raining cats and dogs here. Any advice what I can do to reduce the infection? Please help.

Clean it up with some peroxide. Don't let him lick it because that is what's causing the infection. Put some neosporin on it and wrap it up. Of course he will try and more than likely succeed on getting the bandage off but as long as the neosporin had some time on the area you should be okay. The biggest challenge is to keep him from licking it. Discourage him when you see him doing that. Do not mistake it for him cleaning it. He is licking it because it is irritated and he's making it worse with out knowing. Do that for a few days and see if it gets better.

thanks for the suggestion Neicy. I tried that took him to the vet. He is cured now and the infection is gone.
