Teams like italy, france, brazil, argentina, england they were not able to reach to semi final.some of them got out in first round.what may be the reason behind these big teams were not able to perform. In my opinion overconfidence may be.wat do u think?

i think the reason behind their failure is overconfidence.....they practiced very less due to overconfidence......they didn't worked hard for games they thought that we are gonna win very easily.....and i think another reason is anger...anger during play is a big reason for yellow and red card which kept them out ....and which can cause a damage to team......

I really don't understand why. Especially the match between Argentina and Germany let me down. The scores can be even 0:4, hard to believe it. It's OK that Argentina lost the game, but isn't it a big gap? I start to wonder whether the games are fair? Will it relate to the gambling so that the result is so "unexpected"? I love China

In my analysis, a lot of star players are getting of age. Just think back on the World Cup glory days of when Zidane was around, Ronaldo (the other one) and many more. Even Ronaldinho wasn't around this time round. There are many factors surrounding why teams flop. Change of coaches, change of players, lack of team spirit (maybe) and wrong strategy. When I look at how Germany played, I was mesmerized by their team spirit. Some of those which I find lacking in other teams. Initially I was supporting Brazil, but this time round, too bad their performance was not in par to the one last time. But in World Cup, anything can happen, so yeah. Will be looking forward to the next few upcoming matches and may the best team win.

I think some of them were just not prepared well enough, and they also really underestimated their opponents a lot of time. Also, Italy has a really old team (the average age is 30 years or something!), and France too. A lot of the coaches in these cases are really not good either, with the exception of Dunga who I think was good!

Large teams dropped out because they showed the wich are known and maybe that affected them so much - great expectations showed pressure on them .
