Well I am currently enjoying our beautiful summer weather, and as one of many of us Brit's, I absolutely love to have BBQ's... to me there is nothing better than to taste chicken drumsticks that have a lovely charred taste to them! My parents had a BBQ on Sunday, and it was delicious. Sausages, Burgers, Chicken, Sweetcorn... you name it I'm sure they had it!! We even asked the neighbours round, as they had bought so much food... It's so nice to have a get together. Great weather, food and a nice swim to cool down, what more could you want?
What are your most favourite things to eat when you have a BBQ, or go to a BBQ, include your favourite side dishes too! I am not too exciting with my side dishes, I just love to have a simple salad, and some cheese... Yummy!!!

I also like barbecue chicken - I like to marinate my chicken in the BBQ spices, and leave it overnight, as it just tastes so lovely. I also keep a stock of woodsmoke barbecue flavour sauce in the cupboard, I have it all the time with my chicken, it goes down really well.

I love hamburgers and hot dogs cooked on a charcoal grill, probably because we have it so seldom that it's a treat when we do.

I do love a good barbequeue.
can't quite beat a good juicy burger, but I also love sweetcorn, mackerel in foil with some herbs and a bit of balsamic vinegar and lemon juice, a good, fresh from the garden, salad in a nice, tangy dressing, occasionally a nice steak lightly done. well marinated chicken drumsticks, hummous and breadsticks.
and a good supply of Pimms and lemonade with loads of fruit, or a good supply of well chilled lager.
a nice evening just cooling off after a slightly too hot day, bats skittering overhead, and that moment just towards the end of it all where you get a blanket to wrap around yourself and sit a little closer to the coals, and just think.
perfect.
also, I like to bash up a bit of frankincense, some rose and jasmine petals, a bit of orris root powder, and some essential oils (I usually go for a bit of lavender, tuberose, nerol, benzoin, and a bit of rose to boost the petals) and I like to scatter that on the coals after all the cooking is done. beats a joss stick hands down.

hi rosie that sounds like itwas truly delicious. my favorite sides are
roasted sweetcorn and real hamburgers all juicy with a huge hunk of cheese and onion on it and roast pork that would be so good. also a simple hunk of good cheddar cheese that is always good and a nice simple salad with lots of ripe tomato in it.

actually we are selling BBQ's. Here in our place, simple foods mean a lot to us. My favorite BBQ to eat is something like in an esophagus of a chicken. I forgot the right term of that. It is really delicious to eat when you soak it to a hot sauce.

I really like grilling sea scallops wrapped with bacon and pineaple wedges on a wooden skewer. Slide a pineapple wedge onto the skewer then a sea scallop wrapped with bacon. Repeat until the skewer is full. Lay them on the grill. A little tricky turning them, but they come out pretty tasty.
