Hi to all my friends and all my co-mylotters! This topic that I opened up is one of the traits that I pisses me off! Do you think it's good to say things without even asking about the root of the matter first? Thanks and Happy Mylotting to all!!

Well, this is kind-of a difficult question to answer, since I do not know what exactly you are referring to, but given that is my reaction to your discussion, then I would say that I do try to find out what the root of the matter is before giving an opinion or advice. On the other hand, there are general questions and situations that do not necessarily need a ton of information to provide a general answer. If there is a more specific problem or situation, however, then obviously more detailed information is needed to address the matter.

I definitely agree that simple questions can be answered without much background information whereas situational questions obviously need to have a lot more information to determine the root cause of the problem. The thing is that some people will present you with a question that seems like a simple one, and once you answer they will throw more information at you and all of a sudden you realize that there is a lot more to the situation than they lead you to believe in the first place, especially if they do not like the answer that you gave to their question or problem. I think that those people are just as bad as the ones that judge or try to give advice without trying to find out the background information before making a determination or decision, because it is like they are withholding information to get you to agree with them or something. I mean, sometimes it is difficult and perhaps even inappropriate to get into all the background information, especially when you are on an open forum like this one. That is not what I am talking about, because that is understandable. However, when you have people that are supposed to be your friends in the off-line world and they do this, then it is very frustrating, because it is difficult to determine whether or not there is more to the story than what they have presented in their question. To me, both types of people (the ones that don't try to get to the root of the problem and the ones that without vital information seemingly to get a specific response) are very frustrating and not easy to deal with.

I think giving safe answers can make you stay on the safe side and avoid hurting their feelings. Hey, thanks for the wonderful comment, I appreciate it.

Simple questions needs no research to answer, but when it comes to situational questions, knowing the root of the matter is needed to give out an appropriate answer. Thanks for the comment!

Indeed, but some people says that saying thing without knowing things first are so-called Real life word spammers, That's what others said but i can't just agree with them, because people really need to know the root cause before saying things, because one may look like a fool who's just taking foolish things without hitting the right spot. Thanks and happy mylotting to you!

Of course not! Although a lot of people do this, it's not good to say something without knowing the root cause first. It's like you are judging someone without knowing them first.
This kind of behavior is very immature. You should hear all sides of a story first before reacting.
