do u know this?? india is going to be in first place in population by 2025. it is according to the surveys conducted recently by election commission. acc. to their estimation, by 2025, india is going to cross china in population.
we are facing a lot of problems with the current population in india even after 1/4th of indians were in other nations. think how it'll be with about 130 crores and above population in india.....
even today also no one of us is satisfying with one child. the present generation is also giving birth to atleast 2 children. if it is the case, how can we control the population in this nation? if it continues in the same way, our next generation will be given a hell breaking situations like unemployment, starvation etc.,. i think we can assume this today with the existing orphanages in our country. tomorrow they have to be doubled...

I don't know your opinion on China's "Family planning policy",but it seem to be usefull. Even China's population is increasing, but the speed is slow down.
Of course,it makes some damage to the composition of population.
It makes an aging population, also maybe violate humman right.
But now in China, especially in cities, most family has one baby, consciously. They don't want another because they don't have enough money to bring it up,you know, the high room rate in Beijing and other big cities..
But in rural area of China, most couple want another baby, because the living cost in rural area is lower, andthe social security is poor.So they want another baby to support them when they become old..
Past, the Time of Maozedong,he said that THERE IS STRENGTH IN POPULATION NUMBERS.But now,no man bring these words up again..

I was born in 1985.When I was a child, the family planning policy was serious carried out. That time ,if you want a another baby, GOV would send some hatchet man to beat you, move your personal asset away and amerce your family..It's just a dark time..People just want a Boy..

Yeah, india will surely be the most polulated country of the world in the next few years. Being an Indian, i have seen many people having more than five children. The main reason behind such population growth are poverty, child labour and illeteracy. Being the citizen of India, its our duty to spread awareness about population growth and how to control it. In China, there is such a rule now that there can only be one child a couple can have. Such a rule should also be implemented in India.

My friends, gald to talk to you.You have metioned China's "Family planning".It's a plan that can be carried out in totalitarian country.CCP said it must be carried out,so it have be carried out,but the people in that time was angry about this policy, they want many babies. Most common people oppose it and make many blocks, but GOV enforce this policy and it succeed now..I think this policy will face more counterforce in democracy like India.

Hi rajesh, It's a sad situation but it seems that you're right and no one is able to do much about it. The world population is growing everywhere but a country like India is so large already that it makes the problem much worse. I guess only time will tell what happens next. Blessings.

In my opinion, the policy of the rulers is the major reason for this. The politicians, just to get the votes of the poor, offer more and more concessions, finally making the people lazy and irresponsible. Moreover, most of our population is illiterate. So they don't understand the effect of what they are / were doing. (When there is everything for free, they don't have any responsibility at all. All the burdens are on the shoulders of other people who make a planned living. )
Only if there is any change in the policy not to offer anything free and only if there is enough awareness for education, the existing population will convert into man power. Otherwise, the situation will become very worst, with lot of irresponsible people.

Lack of education is the major cause of population explosion in India. Rate of population growth is very low in states where education is high. Where they prefer at most 2 children. Also 2 children per parents will not increase population. Population will only increase if there are more than 2 children per parents. Also measures should be taken by the government in controlling the population. If population is not controlled, and if it becomes bigger than what the country can support, then lacks and crores of people will die at once due to diseases and starvation.

Yes India will face problems if the population grows at this rate.
