Hi Friend
During the time of festivals or any important events like, New Year, Birthday Celebrations, Wedding Day celebration, or succeeding in the examination, we generally send greetings to our near and dear ones. Some people like to select a beautiful card with attractive image, where as some other will select a card with suitable and touching words in it.
What about you? Please share with me.

I used to send greeting cards before but now I send only e cards most of the times. It's easy to send with the comfort of sitting at home.

Yes. Sending an Ecard with the comfort of sitting at home is easy rather than going to the shop and buying them and going to the post office for stamps and applying glue and writing addresses on each and every card is messy and sucks lot of time
But my question is what type of card you select for sending, whether a card with a beautiful image or a card with some touching words?

Viji,
"E" will not fly so easily. Our Vijayanths will take all precautions for that and make it glued till it reaches the destination

Hi Yugasini garu
After the mobile phones had entered in our market and it is available at an affordable price too, almost all are having at least one mobile for them self and through which, they are sending greetings or messages. We can type our choice of words in it which gives a personal touch to the receiver

Earlier I was buying many greeting cards for occasions. But now E-greetings has taken it's place. Whether hard copy or soft copy (greetings), I see to it that both picture and wordings are good and catchy.

Yes. I too will look for both, attractive pictures as well as impressing words. Mostly i prefer animated cards, which is funny and interesting.

To be honest i donot send cards any more, the cost of cards is high, so also the postal expenses, sending by ordinary post , i don't like, on many instances it gets lost, regd post and speed post is costly, so i convey my wish by phone usually..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

Hi
This attitude of yours is well appreciated. It is not only cheap way of sending our greetings but it also saves our time in going to the shop to buy greetings and selecting them, going to the post office to buy some stamps, pasting them, and writing the addresses in all the covers and posting them and worrying whether it reached them. By conveying our wish through phone gives a personal touch and also satisfaction to both the parties

Greeting cards are available in various models and with different wording. Some are very attractive and eye catching.
Selecting a card depends upon ones thoughts and also to the person whom he/she is liking to give.
Mostly people-search for a good wording card so that he express his wish in presenting this type of card.

Hi busybee
You are 100% right. Greeting Cards are simply eye catching now a days and we are just tempted to buy one but end up in buying atleast 10 after seeing the pictures and the rhyming wordings. You hit the bulls eye. Ofcourse in this way, we can express our wish in presenting that type of card to the addressee

I never know what to do with cards I get so I end up keeping most of them but I have quite the collection going. Since having my daughter I have been sending photo with a cute boarder instead. I usually buy a magnetic frame to go with it as well so they are easy to put on the fridge. The grandparents love them and they also get updated pictures of their grandchild more often. If I use a card it is usually blank so I can write an update and so it protects the picture that I am mailing. I know we are in a digital age but I have a lot of relitives that aren't into the digital age so they love getting the pictures instead.

hello vathsala amma, how are you? Before i got my computer i used to spend money in buying and sending greeting cards to my friends. However as the years passed the cards started becoming more and more expensive and i virtually stopped sending cards and instead greeted them on the phone which worked out to be a better option since there was an element of the personal touch in it.Invariably even this worked out costly as our conversations would go on for a long time. However now that the pc has come i prefer to send e-cards which is the best way since almost everyone has a computer. It is inexpensive, very quick and one can customize the card in any way one wants beside adding personal messages. I usually send the funny greeting cards whatever be the occaission unless it is a solemn one, like a condolence card.

Hello my son
I am fine. How are you?
You are right. Now a days Greeting Cards are very costly besides we do not have that much time to go and pick up and stick a stamp and write addresses to each and everyone and go in search of the post box to drop them. Instead we can simply sit at home and send as many as we fancy to all our friends.
Generally i like to send animated cards, which is funny and cute with some catching words.
