If you could travel through time, where would you go?

Would you go to the future and see what is coming? Would it change your life today if you did that? Or would you go to the past? Would you try to change anything knowing that even the smallest change would change the future forever? I would like to do both...I can't decide. Seeing the future would be awesome, but going back would offer some unique possibilities, cause I would make changes in my life, and hope they didn't bring on devestating changes in the future. What about you? What is your choice?

The reason people look to the past and have regrets is because of the outcome. We think of those things as mistakes. If we could go back we most certainly would. Dam the changes. If Hitler had not caused the holocaust, Would the world not be a better place? If the first and second world wars had been averted wouldn't we be better off? I say we could do with some drastic changes. Losses are just that, Losses.

hahaha... laciece, the world would be a lovelier place to live if we would know how the universe began. dauphinee, if and only if... so that all the speculations would come to a close, and every piece of the puzzle will fit into place. if we would be given that choice, i'd rather grab it, better than being left groping in the dark, being taught of things that the teacher himself couldn't eben understand. lol. just talking thru experience, you know.

g_aileen, hello. Thanks for responding Yea, that would be something, since no one really know exactly what happened. All we have to go on is what archelogists and scientists tell us, and they could make mistakes.

hello dorothy (that was my mom's name, by the way) Thanks for responding. It sounds to me like you need to find something to occupy your time and your mind. Internet is good, but it can get boring sometimes. Maybe you could volunteer at a senior center or something like that, and maybe make some new friends in the process.

Hi feelthemagic Yea, I would too, except any changes we make would influence the future, Would that be a good thing to do? Thanks for replying

I will do just like you. I have so many mistakes in my life that i want to change and i will live my life again, however, i want to go back when the first civilization is going started because i want to see how they live in such a difficult times. That is my opinion . What about the others?

I'd do a lot of things with my time travel. First I'd go to the future to see what kind of woman i wind up with. Knowing this information wouldn't change anything since i know if i wound up with her, i must be happy. I'd go to the pass and warn myself of the mistakes I'm about to make. Not all of them, since some of them were very influential to my life, but i would go back and change one or two things that happened recently. I'd also like to travel to the distant past to see dinosaurs, early humans, maybe go to the distant future to see how the world turns out, if we colonize space and etc.

Very ambitious, albert. Gotta be careful with those changes though,,,they would change the course of history.

I had to think about this for a minute. I would go back to the past and yes there are a few things I think I would change. The hard thing I think to realize is that every little change would change something now, even if it was something small.

hi ithink I know...something as simple as picking a dime up from the sidewqlk could make major changes in the future. But, it sure would be tempting to fix the things you did wrong, wouldn't it?

I definitely would change a few things that I have done in the past. But I also would like to visit the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s (especially!), 1960s and 1970s. I would go and see Elvis in concert as well as T-Rex, also Michael Jackson and probably heaps of other bands and musicians. I would like to go to Woodstock and be part of the hippy revolution, I would go and hang out at the diner in a beautiful 1950s dress with awesome hair and makeup, driving around in the cars of the time. I would LOVE to time travel!

hi coffeeshot...thanks for responding Yes, seeing Elvis would be stupendous. Time travel would be the greatest thing ever. Some of those years I already lived through :) so I would opt for the future and see new stuff.

Well, technically I can (and everyone can) travel through time into the future. Every minute you are traveling one minute in the future. But seriously, If I could travel through time, I would pick the future. In the past, we already know what happened and there is nothing new to see when we go back in time. We don't know what the future will be like, so it might be interesting to check it out. Besides, going to the past would cause too many complications. What if you met yourself in time travel? That would be tricky. Also, ever since I watched The Langoliers I started believing that if you go to the past (even for a few minutes) there will be no life there.

Hi merlinsorca...Thanks for joining in I disagree with you a tiny bit about we all travel into the future every minute, because that minute is the present, not the past or the future. The future is the next minute, and when it comes, it is the present. But I agree with you about picking the future to travel to. It would be awesome, maybe, to see what is coming. Could be scary, too, though. Going into the past, it would be too tempting to change something, upsetting the whole course of the world.

I'll go see the future first to check whether there must be some mending to do in the past. If I see that some changes has to be made then, I'd go back to the past and rearrange everything making sure I'd be on the right track and that it would get me to enjoy a quality, peaceful, and happy life in the future. But, if I see that my future is good already, then, I'll not change anything anymore when I go back to the present. I definitely would stay on my current track so I could exactly get to the same good future that I already saw. Ugh! That was a tiring mind trip! Gotta go now! See you around!

Hello satz...thanks for stopping by. Yea, you and be both. I would make lots of changes in the things I did, but we have to consider what those changes might do to the current time. Any change made, even a small one, could change the course of the world.

I would like to go to the best times of my life, where I felt nice and happy and loved. To the time with the best persons I loved and to the times I missed to spend with my family because I was away whichcaused me to miss out on important milestones in their lives.

I would definately go into the future. I would love to see if a time every comes where we can do all of the things you see in sci fi films and books. It would be great to see holgram television, hover boards ooh!! The mind boggles. However it would be a bit worrying if we went into the future and things were just bad, so maybe I should think more about looking at the past and looking at things I could learn more about or just be a part of. I wouldn't change anything though, I am a big believer in no regrets and what does not kill you makes you stronger. This could be due to the fact that I have been blessed with no terrible experiences yet, I may change my mind if things do not always go so well.

hi kirstie...looks like you gave this idea a lot of thought. Yes seeing what is coming would be awesome. But, like you, I would be somewhat afraid of what I might find. What if there is no future? But, what if we went back and the past was erased? I guess we better stay where we are
