I have very fond memories of my first love...when I was all of 16 years old. Over the years I have thought about him and reminisced about the time we were together. The power of a first love is so strong and full of new unexplored emotions that I don't think anyone ever forgets it. So, with the help of modern day technology,I found my first love on facebook. YIKES!!! He did not age well. I was disappointed. I don't know why, I knew he would not look the same as when we were teenagers nor did I expect him to be the same person. We all grow and change over the years. I was just wondering if it would have been better to have never looked him up and kept the memories I had without the knowledge of the person he grew into...which was disillusioning. What do y'all think? (yes, I'm from Texas...we say y'all a lot)

There are many reasons why a person does not age well. Lack of ecercise and improper diet are the reasons often quoted.
In his case there is another possibility which may be the root cause. He could have been spending part of his lif ethinking and worrying about you. A broken love affects a man greater than a woman though none would admit it. Of course it is not the case if the love was not real.
O know of a man wgo is still single, looks as if he is somewhere else, because he failed to ensure that his girlfriend remained his. The separation occurred in late 1980.
