Wow, I wish you the best of luck with potty training your daughter. I've just finished potty training my youngest recently, he is three and half years old and I've never been happier about an achievement in our lives. However, I am in the process along with my brother and sister-in-law of potty training my 23 month old niece. I'll also be happy when she is done being potty trained because that will mean that I am done with diapers for at least a year or so.

The age old question Potty Training. I read a lot of diffrent views on this. I started to believe that one day my daughter would just want to go on the potty. Didn't happen. I did get my daughter potty trained before her third birthday about 3 weeks before. I tried to let her take her time and do what she wanted but the day she told me she wanted her princess diaper (pullup) that was it. She was not fooled by the training pants she knew she could pee in them. So I went out and bought regular panties and let the fun begin. There were a lot of accidents and times where I just wanted to give up because it was easier to just change a diaper but she was almost three and I had been lazy long enough. She had shown signs of being ready I can't even tell you the last time she woke up wet in the mornings, she could make it all of nap time. But what she had to learn was to hold it until she got to the potty. It only took a couple of weeks and the accidents were less and less. Some days I would just wonder if she was peeing in her pants on purpose. But then she started not liking being wet and now she does the potty dance. With my daughter at least we never had the potty dance or the poop face she just went. I knew when she would have to poop so I started putting her on the potty around that time every day. And she got it. But the one thing that I read that made sence to me was for 2 years at least this child had just gone potty when they needed too and now you want then to change that. I actually work but I run a home daycare, so I am with her all day. The other children in my care range in age and I tell the parents to let me know what they are doing at home in the ways of potty training so I can do the same but I do not require them to be potty trained as it does take all children a diffrent amount of time. I also don't charge diffrently if the child is still in diapers. Just remember if you are stressed about getting her potty trained quicky she may stress about it too. You can't rush it but you can take a stand if that make any sence. Talk to whoever is going to be watching your child they may not require her to be potty trained or even have some tips to help you out. Hope this help you out.

first. CONGRATULATIONS. .. upon being a mother. and, upon your FULL STEAM energies to start working again. .. it is not just the potty training that you should be worried about. WHO is going to take care of the child, after you go to work. IS it someone in the family, who is experienced. or,... is it a paid service? like child-care center, etc?... and, Please see that you are available on phone contact, for the first few weeks atleast.. so that you can coo, and talk to your baby, if the baby is upset to the new environment, without you.. most of the time. POTTY training should come naturally. Don't force the baby~!
