The world cup has not gone on the line of expectations some top teams like france , england have not played as was expected of them. There was also lots of hope on argentina and brazil. Last time champion italy has exitted early.But the thing amazes me most is the failure of top players like christiano ronaldo, henry, kaka . even though messy played well most times but cannot carry his team into semifinals. lampard and gerrad showed only glimpses of their magic and canavaro was a shadow of former self.But i must mention Close have played well. What do you think about it.

Certainly whis World Cup was not expected to be like this. All the superstars have disappointed from Messi to Ronaldo, Kaka and many more. For me the biggest disappointment was Ronaldo and his awkward behavior.

Yes, a lot of the superstars have really disappointed in this world cup including the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Kaka and even Messi to some extent. But then there are some young stars who have emerged. The likes of Mueller, Ozil and Villa have come of age in this tournament. So I guess it is time for a change of guard in the world of football!!

I think that some teams caught up with the powerhouse teams when it comes to execution and playing better as before..It is a team game of course. A lot of football stars did not exceed expectations, not because they did not play well but as a team they lack teamwork.
