how true that coffee is good for our health?

They said coffee is good for our health. Is it true? When I have stomach ache I consulted to a doctor? The doctor said avoid coffee I am confuse because in the advertisement they said coffee is good for our health. It has anti oxidants but why the doctor will not allow me anymore to drink coffee?
