I love books too, mostly especially my fictions and I can't stand the thoughts of losing them. I sometime pick some of my best collection to read over and over again, but at times it looks as if there is nothing new to learn or intrigue me so I take them to the library for exchange for more frequent novels I have not read.

Yes, I do like keeping my books. I really really enjoy reading books, and I've enjoyed reading ever since I was a kid. Although I do like keeping my books, I have given some away. I've given the books that I didn't think I would read anymore. However, for the most part, I do prefer keeping them.

Same here! I don't throw my old books. I don't have the hear to part with them. I remember a movie. It was an end-of-the-world themed movie, it was snowing hard and they stayed in the library, burnt the books to keep warm. OMG! I couldn't take the scene at all! haha. My boyfriend told me I'm crazy because I was okay with dying due to coldness that burn books to keep my warm. haha. I told him I'd burn a book once I'm sure that there's another copy.

I have loads of books I hate getting rid of them, I have so many now that there's not room on all my bookshelves to keep them all so I'm going to have to get rid of some at some point. I just seem to end up buying more though I can't resist them, I've had to ban myself from buying more books because I have so many still to read.

Yes I do. I'm not really that of a bookworm but I do keep my old books instead of throwing them out. I use it for reference and to remind myself of the stuffs I learned through reading that book. That's just about it.

I keep a lot of useful old books, but not those that I will never read again. I either sell them or send them to whoever needs them. Either way makes me happy as they have somewhere or someone to go to.

I love books and I invest in good ones. I don't throw away books. i try to keep my books in good condition.Throwing away a book is impractical. Who knows you might be needing that book someday. You can even sell old books online too. Books gives us knowledge and inspiration, your right about it, so why throw away something like that?

I never ever throw away my old books, especially all my novels. I already have hundreds of books in my bookshelf. I always keep track of all my books. If someone wants to borrow a book of mine, he/she should return it in two weeks, whether they finish it or not. I take care of my books. My books are wrapped with plastic covers and they are never dog-eared.

Yes, I like to keep many of my old books. They are like old friends to me. I have way too many now, though, and I am trying to part with some of them by selling some and giving some away.
We are a family of three and all big book lovers. Therefore, we have many, many books. It is like a library at our house we have so many. We have lots of nonfiction as well as fiction. We all have different tastes in books so we have a huge variety.
It's fun having so many books but not fun to clean them and dust their shelves! They're worth it, though.

I can't get rid of my books because it's like saying goodbye to a friend. I have 2 big bookshelves full of books including fiction and non fiction/school books. I love all my books dearly I have a lot from my childhood and they hold memories that would otherwise be forgotten so that's why I like to keep them. Also I don't usually let others burrow them unless I really trust them. I have programming books too but I'm less attached to those ^^

Yes, I like keeping my old books. In fact, it's not just me but my whole family as well. We are six siblings and all done with school so maybe you could imagine we had collected enough books to even start our own mini-library. :-) We don't have much space at home but still we find it hard to let go of our collection. Even in this age of computer technology, we still believe that our family's next generation will benefit from those old books.

yes, i keep all my books. i used to have them displayed on my room but when my mom cleaned up my room, she kept them in a box. she said they're taking up too much space already. she even suggested giving them away since they are all young adult books, and i'm not one anymore. but i kept them.

books are knowledge and no matter how old they are, they still have value to everyone of us.i never throw old books.sometimes i sell them if i don't need them anymore.sometimes you can also donate them for some charities or the like.
they say that your trash is somebodyelse's treasure.
and i think books don't have to be thrown just as that.

Sadly, I'll be moving out and I have to face the reality that I can't bring all my books with me. There are a few that I can give to friends or donate to a library. One thing I won't do, though is actually throw them away.
