It means the biggest security threat to America and her allies are no longer huge visible superpower countries like China and USSR. It is now the often invisible terrorist that can attack America anytime they want to. We know America is now acting how to fight them, but the threat is always there, and this pose a big challenge for all of us that needs our vigilance.

9/11 definitely changed the world. security has been tighter ever since, especially at airports. more checks and x-rays and stuff.aside from that, i think, it made people more aware of terrorism. personally, that's the biggest terrorism attack that i know of.

Yeah it had changed a lot... there is so much more security these days, and I think that there has to be. It is a shame in a way that no one can be trusted anymore, but what happened on 9/11 was something that will never be forgotten, and many people suffered and still are suffering because of that careless act of the terrorists.
