Without religion, we can be more happier in ths world

Hi alienstar, Although I'm not big on religion, I do think that terrorists make up a very small group. I think it's possible for the moderates in all religions to begin a dialogue that will at least lead to a healthy respect for each other. It may not happen immediately but it could happen much faster than many people think. All we really need is the golden rule, than we would live the way we were meant to live and need no further religion. Unfortunately, it will probably take a long time before some people see this. Even when Christ is returned to claim his people and bring peace the bible tells us there will be some who still do not want to conform or obey the very son of God. So he will punish them by with holding rain so they have no crops. There will be other things he does to to punish rebellious people. It will take humanity awhile to realize they have not ever been in real control and God always has been and always will be. He has just given humanity a few thousand years to see how much that we really cannot get along without him and really cannot govern ourself without contention, strife and rebellion and war or hated. He will be removing a big source behind much of why we as humans behave as we do. Satan will be locked away for awhile. But we will still have our carnal human nature. It will take some time for humanity to understand that we will be under a monarchy of peace and when they do finally we will prosper and be all well off.

Religion slows down scientific progress, gives people a reason to fight pointless wars and discriminate against groups of people such as homosexuals. Sadly, however, it is an evil that probably won't disappear from this world within the near future.

I agree with you 100% look what happenning in Iraq every day people killing people in dozens in the name of Allah . I don't think that Got wrote in any Bible that peple should sloghter eash others in his name. BUT there is But the Muslim religion is a vialonce relegion and all started there.

First thing I wanted to say is we are human the social and most intelligent animal of this Earth. Then we belong to the same race : H-U-M-A-N. All other animal in this world live happily with each other. They never separate themselves with bloody classes [religion]. They all help each other in sad time and never want bad for each other. But human the most addicting and intelligent animal....... is rather very selfish. They just know about one thing - how to be more rich and powerful. They even separate themselves via religion to heat up there inside challenge of inhumanity. We these days are blaming Islam for their terrorism of some people. We just forgot one thing that there are only a few people who are creating terrorism in Islam and by forgetting this we are blaming the whole religious for this. Why are we separated with religions? Because we are the most intelligent? Is it what we call humanity? I think in future human being have to suffer for their separation via religions. I will say one thing - FORGET RACISM AND LIVE WITH EACH OTHER WITHOUT FIGHTING!

There're religions and religions. Of course I'm not saying here which I think it's the best, but you must be really rigorous choosing your religion.

Nowadays, there is a general pool of stupidity and ignorance on the human population, but religion has specific attributes that harnesses those characteristics and helps them spread. It tells people that they can have, with little or no effort (just based on gut feelings) a direct line to ultimate truth - that their hatred of women and g@y people is supported by the creator. It also insists that they spread their views to impressionable children, and attempt to convert other adults. It also provides what many would consider the ultimate reward - external paradise( and eternal punishment for those who fail)
