Old childhood television programmes make a comeback

At this precise moment I am watching Tom and Jerry with my daughter and it got me wondering whether your child watches any of the same programmes you watched as a child.
I remember loving Tom and Jerry and recently my daughter has really got into it though these days I actually dont seem to like it! My daughter also watches things like Thomas the Tank Engine and Winnie the Pooh which is the same as I did except newer and better versions with much better graphics.
Some old programmes have made a comeback in which are a great hit though there are others in which I think should never have been remade!
What are your thoughts on this subject?

Oh I used to love Tom & Jerry too but I haven't seen it recently and don't think my son has ever seen, My son used to like Thomas the Tank when he was smaller and we have all the books as well as the episode and I knowthem off by heart. The one programme I remember asa child was The Magic Roundabout but haven't seen that at all in recent years either. Huggles. Ellie :D

The remake of the magic roundabout is good though I much prefer the original!

Actually, it is kind of strange to say, but my children tend to watch more of the shows that I used to watch when I was a little girl than shows that are made with children in mind today. I was just looking for something to watch on my DVR only to find out that the kids have hours upon hours of Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, The Flintstones and The Jetsons recorded on there right now. I really need to get a DVD recorder so I can make discs of them for the kids.

My daughter watches sesame street. She watches strawberry shortcake too but a newer version but not the newest. I have a hard time with a lot of the new shows they are very weird. So she watches some older ones likes Blue's clues, which I had seen before just not as a young child. Some other thing I tried watching a few years back when they were making a come back and was like boy I was a simple easy to please kid and man these are terrible. So I try to find her good shows to watch weather they be old or new. Some are remakes of old things and are just great.

I'm 25 years old and I STILL watch Tom & Jerry lol. I love it. I miss the old shows I watched growing up, so it is nice to see them make a comeback. Even nicer when my nieces & nephews begin to watch and love them as much as I did.
It is not a comeback as it has been on in re-runs for awhile, but another childhood television program that comes to mind is Full House. I watched it through-out my childhood, and I own most of the series on DVD (just need seasons 7 and 8 lol). My nieces and nephews love it as much as I do.
I'm not sure which ones have been remade, but it's nice to catch an old favorite on television though. :)

After a while Adults starts to hound TV studios to bring back their favorite TV shows The companies respond with deformed classics. For example when i was younger i remember when the Jetsons were still new but now they changed it a lot. They added extra sound effects which wile make the show a little more nice it ruins the originality. Not saying the originals dosen't deserve fixing. it has unnecessary laughs but i think that it is what you like to watch but always be on the lookout for classics.
