Toys these days

So do you like the toys that are out now or do you long for ones you had when you were a child for you children. I have had a very hard time with some new toys I have actually written to some toy companies to complain. The new my little poinies drive me nuts. Their eyes are too big and they look all weird now. Luckly my sister kept our old poinies and i found some older model ones on line. Some of these toy are just a little too trampy for me I don't want my daughter to think its ok to dress like that. Some are just crazy. I have caved on a few things including the poines because she likes them so she has 6 new ones cause that is all there is anyway and like 40 older ones. What toys drive you nuts and what have you done about it.

There are a couple of things that I can think of right off the top of my head that drives me crazy about toys today. The first one is that it seems like everything has to talk, this drives me insane because I think that it takes away the need for children to use their imagination. The other thing that drives me insane is Bratz dolls, I don't let my seven year old daughter have any of those because I don't think that they give the image that I want my daughter to have of what is ideal. My son is younger than my daughter, but I've not encountered nearly the issues with toys for boys as I have of those for girls.

I also hate the bratz dolls. I am not really fond of the littlest petshop pets they all look so weird with their big eyes they kind of freak me out a little. The new my little ponies are starting to resemble the little pet shop pets. I just saw the new and improved rainbow brite doll and I think they didn't understand that she was a little girl not a teenager. It seems like the boys toys are a bit safer you can't do to many bad things to cars and army men. I have seen some weird monster type toys but at least they don't look like tramps. My daughter atucally has this doll that talks and it must be made by someone with a small child because she just talks non stop like a real child. When my daughter is not looking I turn her off and have a few days of quiet until she asks me to turn it back on again.
