Online Friendships

What are you opinions or experiences with online friendships? When I first started interacting with people online, I didn't think I'd meet many people but the opposite has happened. I've met so many quality people from different walks of life and I love it! I've even met a few in person (after getting to know them for some time) and I can say I have formed great friendships online.
Your thoughts?

online friendships???? Its quite good to have nmany friends aorunfd the world bit the qustion is are they really a friend who is there whnevr you need him/her or just a friend at a computer???

I agree! I love hearing about my friends lives in other countries and how their culture is so different (or similar) to my own.

They said that the Internet is the least place where you should go looking for friends. Since everybody could hide their identities and I think they have a point. Though so far, just like you, I've met a lot of nice and cool people online. There are just some who were, hmm, not so nice. They took advantage of the anonymity and flamed a whole bunch of my online friends. Talk about crap.

I definitely agree. I approached the internet somewhat paranoid but have since learned that 1) I don't have to be paranoid and 2) there are many things I can do to protect myself online.

I have met so many persons in net too. In my opinion relationships via the internet is possible, i know many such persons, some got married, some ended in stress, i call this virtual world as 'WORLD OF ILLUSION', all that glitters is certainly not gold lol.

Hello!
I too have meet many interesting people on internet and I am meet them in real life too. I can say sometimes people photos look a little bit diffrent than life. I know people who had make a relationships in internet too they had meet in life and now had married. I too have meet a good friend in internet a girl and now we are very good friends.

yeah, I think chat and commnicate with people who we don't know them just online mabey not a bad things. most of people have a warm-heart and they can help you and give you some suggestions. of course,there're a little of guys want to get something from you, we need protect ourself.

One of my closet friends is someone i know only from the online world for about 7 years and we talk either online or on the phone, while mailing each other stuff. Just because of that friend, i know people can be good trustworthy friend regardless of the medium of friendship, online or offline.
Similarly, i have met a lot of people who have give me nothing but headaches, and these people specialize not only in headaches but also in bringing their offline problems to the online world so that they can dump such problems onto others, so that they themselves can be happy while others suffer.
