How necessary is cell phone for you?

For me it is very necessary to have my cell with me but there is also times when I could care less where my cell is. But I do like to keep it on me at all times just in case unless I am going swimming or doing something where my cell could risk being damaged then I leave it in the car. But that is about the only time I dont have my cell near by. I even place it in the bathroom with me when I take a shower so i know right away if someone is trying to get ahold of me. I once had no cell phone for like a week and I hated it i always needed to call someone and never way able to.

Cell phones have become necessity for me. Without cellphones i feel disconnected to world. With 3g apploication it is going to impact our life more. Cellphones gives me lot of options . With my cell phone with me i dont need wrist watch , my ipod and other things. Me and my friends always remain in touch by voice calls or messages. It keeps me connected with them. Whenever i go out cell phone is the first thing which i take with myself

As a freelance service provider, cellphone is, indeed, a necessity for me. Normally, I receive job offers through e-mail. When clients do not get any reply from me within an hour, they usually give me a call to inform that I have to check check my e-mail.

The phone is something important to me, but it used to be. so now I do not need a cell phone. Because no one will call me, call my husband and my family, and it's not every day. I use more mobile phone as a modem now.

For me, it's quite necessary although my phone seldom ring. Not because of work, but because it can provide a direct communication for me, my family members and my close friends. I think I am still looking towards how advanced cellphone technology can be because initially, cellphone was developed for just calling and messaging, and then it became web browsing and music gadgets and then now, we can do video calls and wifi. Thus, I wonder if there are more aspects of what cellphone can become in the near future. Maybe a server cellphone? (Just some out-of-the-box thinking). I see many people using phone to represent their status which sometimes does makes me envy that they are holding on to an iPhone or a Blackberry because what I have is neither one. Mine is just a normal 3G flip phone without wifi capability, but nice in color (cos it's blue and white in color)

I think my cellphone is one of the most important possession that I have right now. And I think a lot of people will agree that cellphone has transcended from being a luxury to a necessity. The most important benefit a person could get from owning a mobile phone is it's very convenient and effective tool for communication. Especially if you're outside and waiting for important calls, text messages, or, sorry for the morbidity, if an accident happens.

the way i use my cellphone, it's not so necessary coz most of the time i go to work without it not even thinking about the word "emergency", I'm not fond of texting especially making calls. Haha in other words I am a loner....

We don't have a home phone, my husband needs his cell phone for work so its cheaper for us to just have 2 cell phones on a family plan. I'm at home all day with 2 toddlers, so there's no way I could not have one.

Well there are many reason for people buy cell phone, but for me cell phone are necessity nowadays since everything is in fast pace.Like in business, communication clients between and businessman is crucial specially in sales. When it comes to youngsters it is also important not just that they may keep in touch to their loved ones, since youngsters go everywhere they want and go home late at night they can inform there parents or gaurdians or there parents can call them, specially in case of emergency. But sometimes cellphone are use for status specially here in my country.

Very necessary like an arm or something, lol. I use the mail to receive feeds from the blogs I like that have articles so I can read in bed, story ghosts cause at night is more scarry. I use the notepad to write down series that I have to rental, vitamins that I have to take. I actually blog from the cellphone, Blogger has a feature that I just have to write a post and then send the mail, the subject is the post title and the message is the post. Taking pictures and lots of stuffs. If only I had an IPhone...

cellphone is the most important thing for me...without that i feel i am not connecte with my family, friends and especially boyfriend. i feel i dont know whats happening in the outside world! before i sleep its my cellphone i touch before i sleep and when i wake up its my cellphone again who i check before getting up. without it, i feel i am missing half of my life. LOL

I hardly use my cell. Most of the time I spend a minute checking messages and then putting it on charger when needed.

For me they are very necessary. It's important for me because when my daughter who will be 5 in september goes with my dad I need to have it so in case she calls wanting me or wanting to come home. We have been trying to teach her when is a good time to call and she's been scared to be around him at night and so I've been telling her to call me and talk to me if she decides she wants to go home. I'm not going to force her to stay depending on the circumstances. Other reasons is because even though I'm in the city some times I drive over 20-30 minutes for entertainment outside the city and so I need my phone for texting and to make calls and for emergancy reasons as well. I also make it into my office of the restroom most of the time. I don't trust people around me that well, so I usually dont leave it lying around anywhere. I don't have it on during church and interviews or if I'm going through the line at the retail store.

Cellphone indeed has become a necessary part of our lives. Without cellphone I can't imagine a life. It has helped me in my business, since I was always connected to my clients, no matter wherever I was. Each and every thing on this planet has two sides. It depends on how we use it. Cellphone too if used properly is a boon else it can be worse as hell. As you have mentioned it can be used to be in constant touch with our dear ones, for the use in profession and also for status. But for status you need to have a higher end handset which everyone cannot afford.

I would say that cell phone is a must for me. If I left my cell phone at home for a day, I would be like a useless: cannot call friends that I really need to call at the time and I would be worried if I met an unfortunate incident on the way and I could not phone for help. (the public phones in Indonesia do not work well).

Wow.. i don't think when I'm going outside my home and I forget to bring my cell phone. I just turn back and pick up my phone. Although I'm not a busy businessmen that every time must stand by with much call.. LOL. But cell phone for me is just for call and short message, nothing at all... Maybe some people show what the cell phone that they use is show their status, but for me it is not.
