Will I get banned (paypal)

A few years ago I fell for a phishing mail and gave my paypal mail and password. I haven't got anything on the account then. So rather than just changing password, I opened a new paypal account so I wouldn't risk anything. Now, 3 years later, I'm about to receive $75 on the old account. I still have working password for it. There's no way to withdraw the money from it but send it to my new paypal account. What concerns me is paypal's policy: "Should you register for more than one Personal Account, PayPal reserves the right to terminate all of your accounts and will restrict you from the system going forward. Users may register and hold one Personal Account and either one Premier or one Business Account." Do you think they will ban me if I send money from the old to my new account? Both are on my name, emails addressees are very similar and I would be sending it from the same IP so it sounds risky. But maybe paypal doesn't care? Would you risk it or let the $75 go to waste?

I think I would call PayPal and explain to them why you opened the second account, ask them to transfer the money to your new account, and then close the old one. They should be fine with that if you explain the circumstances to them. I am planning to do the same thing, although my account is a business account and I am going to open a personal account. Your other option is to spend the money from the old account by purchasing something online with it.

PayPal support doesn't do anything... Even if you phone them. They are like BOT is talking to you. They can't do anything and etc. stuff are being said to you like 100 times. I've tried e-mailing them, thinking that written response will be more suitable and they will be able to understand me, but nop. I've got like 3 or 4 e-mails saying the same thing. I'm telling them different thing - the details they wanted and something, but they still wants the same. I had problem with AlertPay. Their support was like PayPal's but after 2-3 times asking the same question I realised that behind AlertPay support there are REAL humans. They finally told me why I had to verify my account and I've done it. The previous e-mails was explaining how I had to verfy it and they had this thing in their T.O.S. but nobody told me WHY I had to do it, so I've contacted them a few times... That's my story.

Oh my God now I'm scared. I had an old Paypal email and I kept receiving emails from Paypal that my account was limited I wasn't sure if it really came from them. I had a lot of spams in my inbox because of joining a lot of sites and I was scared that my account would be hacked. So I decided to create a separate email one which is linked to this one website I get the money from. I don't use my old account anymore. It has no money and it's not even verified. Do I have to do something? Can I just close the first account? I didn't know it was prohibited to make a new one I just thought my old account was compromised that's why I made a new one.

Just ignore it. I'm using the new paypal account for years and no problems. I received about $500 on it (through some time) and it's not even verified.

I send money from one of my paypal accounts to the other all the time and I have never had any problems. Paypal gets their fee for the transaction so why should they care?

I think its risky and if you try to tell them your concern I'm sure they will be asking many things like why did you made a second account and why would you want to send money in that other account? If you can explain clearly then I guess your on the safe side. If you are uncertain then I guess you should not do it

Well, i think you've got to report this to them, but if don't get an answer from them then don't let that be to waste. That's already a money in your hand, it would seem greedy but its practicality that's matters most here. But i would suggest you to do is just withdraw the money there than risking it to be transfer on your new account. Goodluck with it mate.
