But Do We Really Need Hair?
Short answer? Yes.
You see, hair is more than the fabled window to the soul. Human head hair begins to form as early as the wombastic stage of pregnancy, when a developing baby (also known as a zygote or mooshmallow) begins to develop a fine coating of peach fuzz that keeps it warm and confident, as well as serving as a sort of forest home for symbiotic babymites who live on developing fetuses. These mites protect the fetus from invasive species such as Asian micro-carp and unintentionally swallowed spark plugs.
Once the baby is born, the top-head hair begins to grow rapidly in its new oxygen-rich environment and must be immediately trimmed by the maternity barber. This is called "cutting the umbilical." Do you remember having your umbilical cut as a baby? Of course you do.
I don't remember my first hair cut, but I do remember my mom always keeping my hair cut short. I can still remember going to the local salon and getting the "pixie" cut and hating every minute of it! Finally when I was in the 4th grade I was allowed to let my hair grow, but then the 5th grade pic it is short again.
So, when I had my girls I would let them grow their hair as long as they wanted. Both of them have donated their hair to "Locks for Love". Which is a very proud moment for them.

no. i dont remember either the cutting of my umbilical .. or the locks of love. I am a male, and even then, My mother allowed to let the hair grow into pigtails, till I was about 5 - 6 years old. then, it is as usual, the military style.. crew-cut.
and, I have a sister.. who was allowed to have her hair, grown into considerable length, .. till she was into college. then, it is bobbed .. for her.
thanks for the enquiry.
