Now that Manny Pacquiao is already a congressman, he is already considering retirement from boxing. This is for the reason that he wants to concentrate on his new role as the congressman of Saranggani.
If Manny Pacquiao will retire from boxing, then we will miss him much.

I think it would be the best for Manny Pacquiao to retire from boxing at his age now. But before that I wan't him to beat May weather first! Anyways, it is a good decision to retire as he should focus on his role as a congressman. Fighting and doing public service is 2 different works. He must sacrifice 1. He must give up fighting since he won't be able to go into training if he wants to serve people.

I also wish that he fought Mayweather before he became a congressman.

Hello dorisday,
i want to see first how manny will do things in the congress. but i have strong doubts with him there. i think he should have chose being mayor first, he said he will create small lawS? but how can it be beneficial if the executive department isn't gonna follow or execute it since its' simple? or would the other people in congress even agreed to it? they have their own minds and now he's in congress i doubt they will favor him.

Being a Congressman entails lots of work. It is not as simple as one thinks. Manny must have staff who are knowledgeble about the ins and outs of Congress as well as law making.

Well I guess he is not getting any younger and stronger in his career as boxer in there and just looking at how he earned from his boxing career I think he has had enough money to survived even if he retires now. I think it would just be a good achievement if he would be retaining those glory than retiring when he loses in a game and suffer physical problems like what other boxers had in the past.
I just hope that with this new found career he will be able to deliver the things he promised with his constituents.

If Mayweather is afraid to face him in the ring then Manny should retire, there is nothing more to prove, besides he is a congressman now better concentrate his time to the new endeavor he chose..The perfect time to hang the gloves is now, while his on the peak of his career i don't want him to be a stepping stone for new boxers.

As much as I want Manny Pacquiao to fight for many more years, we all know he is still a human being and he is also getting older. So it is really up to him to decide if he is going to retire from going or continue fighting.
He is already a sports icon and a hero to many Filipinos. He had achieved what many dreamed but never realized. He is truly a national treasure.
It was always his dream to become an elected leader to help his people in Saranggani. Let us hope he succeeds again in his new quest.
