Do you treat your pets like kids?

Here we treat our one dog, two cats like human. The dog was locked up in a cage her whole life, they were saling her puppies and didn't even had a name, wich is disgusting. She was really depressed, afraid of us to touch her so I bring her home and put her as near as I could of me. She sleeps with us and after one month I had this emotional moment when she came running to me, showing for the first time her affection. Now she keeps looking at us all the time, like me and my fiance are her life you know. She gets more the attention because of this condition. Now there are the cats, both came from the streets, she was going to die as she had gave up on life, it seemed. She was in the middle of the road. My fiance picked her up. He was really sick, calling for us. We took him and bring him home, he makes us laugh as hell, never saw a funnier cat. I kiss, talk, pick them up like babies although they were all adults when they came, but they are my babies. How do you treat your pets? Like pets? Like a part of the family? Or are they more important than the human beings in the house? Cause for me it's preatty much close to this :D

hehe funny how i think sometimes i really always treat them like kids, or babies! i mean i love to just cuddle them around, talk to them even if they are not responding as what most people would be... and honestly, i think it is the fun part - to have your cat there and your dog, maybe and just be your child... you treat them well, bathe them, give them food, play with them... their the kids that will never grow up! :D

I think I treat my goldfish a bit like kids or babies, because i coo them, talk to them in a funny voice, and nowadays everytime I see baby, I think about my goldfish, that is what has made me realise that I've actually been treating them like a baby... :)

Even if I love my dog very much, I can't tell that I treat her like my child. I treat her like a dog, because she is a dog and has a dog's needs, she is not a child. For me, she is a part of the family, I spend a lot of time with her (maybe too much time lol) She is as important as the other members of the family, not more important, nor less important. I give her food, a safe place to live, care, education and tones of affection. But she still remains my dog, not my kid. :)
