Ideas for old denim

It's called upcycling. The purpose is to take old clothes and make different things from them instead of throwing them out. If you have ever had an old favorite pair of jeans, you may understand what I mean. Jean purses were made from old "cut offs", aka Daisy Dukes. You either used the cut off leg of the jeans and added a handle (by using the material from the other leg) or you used the actual Daisy Dukes and sewed in zippers at the top or added a tie and pulled them through the top belt loops leaving a loose opening. Paper is easily reused from any paper really. Note cards can be made from them and NOT on the industrial level (be it garbage collection or manufacturing) as is what I'm guessing you mean from "professional bodies".

Got your point now. oh. how different things appear, once the light is thrown on the point for clarity. I NEVER considered the point of getting attached to some particular dress. AS i said, it is now understood. and I highly appreciate your efforts to bring in the upcycling into the topic. May you be blessed with more such intelligence. and, more topics, and more mylotting.

Anyone remember days of flower power,flared jeans. I have seen flares made out old jeans,not just side V seam insert in bottom legs.but flares made from tops of jeans upsidedown,legs join to like shorts.

If you get a chance, give us a holler and let us know how your skirt turned out. Did you add fabric panels and make it into a dirndl style or did you sew the seams together into a pencil style skirt?

I've done the cropped pants thing, too. Plus the printed fabric makes GREAT patches for holes and rips. I can never get the shorts cut right. It's always too short.. but then I can still make it into a mini skirt, hehe. I like the headband idea!
