So, there are hundreds of lists on the internet of ''top tvshows of all time/past decade'' etc, but few of these include British shows. I'm talking about shows with seasons, not long running soap type shows, like the US equivalents of House, CSI type shows. I just thought this would be an interesting topic to see if perhaps there's some i've missed. Also if you could say why you like the show, would be great then maybe I can find it online and get into it (kinda running out of shows to watch at the mo)
So, some of my favourites which you should check out if you haven't seen already:
Secret diary of a callgirl-this is a GREAT show, it's ran for 3seasons on ITV2 and is based on a book called Belle du jour, all about a woman who funded her PhD (i think) by being a high class london escort. The book is based on this woman's true story, great show
Life on Mars- there is a US version, I only watch one episode of that and wasn't keen on it, UK all the way ;)
Bodies- fantastic show about a obstetrics/gynecology ward and the hospital politics that goes with it
Doctor Who- ok so i'm not so keen but it has to be on the list
Of-course there are more, but I'd like to see where you guys go with this :) And i'll post more later

Oh, the British make the best murder mystery shows, Agatha Christie style, which I love! My favorite is probably Midsomer Murders, which is simply brilliant!
