What are you Passionate About?

I see a lot of topics around MyLot that ask about hobbies and stuff... but never what anyone is "passionate" about. Maybe you're REALLY into something that other people might think is stupid and you don't treat it like a hobby... I guess what I'm asking is... what's your SECRET passion?? My secret passion is probably hairstyling. I mean... I'm not good at it, but still, I'd LOVE to be able to trim my own hair all nice-like, or my friends' hair... but instead of practicing to be a beautician, I write poetry or stories... right now I've written 3 short stories, 1 novella, and MANY many poems, all of which I would like to publish, but alas, publishers are so darned expensive! Anyway, what are some of your secret passions! Like...okay, MOMS! If you weren't a mom today, what would you be? What's your DREAM? Would you still do it with your kids or would you rather be a "free woman" and commit to your secret passion? Also... for the heck of it... what's your not-so-secret passion?? NO PASSION OR DREAM OR HOBBY IS STUPID! IT DEFINES WHO YOU ARE! :D Live on!

I would have to say I am passionate about a few things like art, music and cooking. I love to do all three of those things. I have always enjoyed doing those things for as long as I can remember.

Lol. Those would also be my not-so-secret passions. I love to cook breakfast foods. Maybe you've heard of it... but stuffed french toast is easy to make! Have you ever tried that? With jam in between two pieces of the bread, then as an "uncooked sammich" just make the french toast as you would as one piece? It's really good if you do it just right. My fiancé LOVES it with grape jam. :)

I have tried that it is very good and easy to make. I personally enjoy making desserts and main dishes the best.

Haha. The only desserts I can make are cookies. WITH CAKE MIX. So easy. :D One time though, when I was just starting out baking - i was younger... I followed a Betty Crocker sugar cookie recipe... and I must have done SOMETHING wrong, but they turned out to be biscuits! I swear I followed it exactly. I did it twice... xD only got biscuits. Haha! Now I just make my cookies with cake mix. :D I'm a cheater.

My passion is no secret, nor is it a hobby...it is a mission! I am passionate about responsible pet ownership...i.e. spaying/neutering pets! I am passionate about my cat rescue work and getting them all spayed and/or neutered! I live in a pretty backwater town as far as this particular thing goes and I may very well be one of only a very small handfuls of people who are trying to remedy the situation. My feeling is that if you aren't going to spay/neuter your pet, you should not have it, that is how passionate I am about this topic. There are only two things that take precedence over this mission of mine and those are my faith and my daughter...in that order.

The fact is that there is an overpopulation of puppies and kittens. There just aren't enough homes to go around, which is why I support spay/neutering. Do you get an allowance or have a job that you earn money at? Do you get shots for your pets? If you can save up enough to get your kitten fixed, then by all means, do! Most spaying costs around $50 and most vets have spay/neuter clinics where they will either give a discount on their price or even do it for free. Call your vet and ask him/her about it, please! Spayed and neutered pets have longer, healthier, happier lives than the unaltered ones, believe me! Let me know how it goes. I care!
