My mother died when I was 33 on Good Friday. That Wednesday she had called to ask if I was coming over on Saturday to color Easter eggs with her. I had reluctantly agreed but when Saturday morning came I awoke to the phone ringing and my father calling to inform me that he had found my mother on the bathroom floor that morning. She had died the night before.
The whole experience inspired one of my poems which I call "Oh, Mother!" You can read it at the following url:

"The Easter eggs were waiting as they carried her out that morning
And we colored them...mourning."

My mother is the one which is very important with me. She is my mother, just as my friend. When i feel happy, i always think about my mother first and when i feel sad, she always be by my side to encourage and comfort me. I love my mother.

I have come to realize that what makes our mothers so important is that they are our home! No matter if we have a house or not, if we have our mother, we are home! God bless.
