Youth is not a time of life;it's a state of mind;it's not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees;it's a matter of the will,a quality of the imagination,a vigor of the emotions;it's the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth meas a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity,of the appetite for the adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than of 60 more than of 20.Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

so we should be optimistic all the way, right? Try to learn new thing everyday.Keep our mind open and live in a spirited way. I have seen that many girls say they are old although they are just twenty.
I think making friends with young people can make me stay young. Our age will grow but our mind is always young if we never say "old".

You have a point but once our knees begins to tremble due to old age and we begin to feel the pain of rheumatism, we may no longer think of the vigor, of the adventure, of the freshness of youth. We grow old, then we think of our experiences if we have been living a good life and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Your mind might be willing but your body is not.
