How do you name your child

If you have a child how do you give name to them or where do you get a name for them, is it from you favorite actor, author, athlete, or from a name of your relatives? For me I always like to give names from a combination of my name and the name of my wife, just like what we give to our daughter we named her CoLyn.

Hi, here in India , most of the Hindus name the child after their family god. we pick up starting letters from the zodiac sign the child is born.

so you mean most of the people there in India that has the same zodiac sign has the same first letter of their name?

no no, the starting letters will be like this.....if the letter is ka...then the variations will be ...ki, ke, kaa, ko ...etc. one zodiac sign will have atleast 5 to 6 different letters. it may ma, pa, ka, la ... or ja, nu, ma, ha......etc

Aissa is the name of your child? is it an African or Asian name? Because here in the Philippines there are lots Aissa but mostly only one s Aisa.

Yes, Aissa is her name. In Africa (maybe some west countries) it means "grateful". It is also a Japanese name and means "The loved one" when read in Japanese characters but has the same sound. Her name is officially registered in Japanese and has a Japanese passport.

Yes, I agree it's so meaningful to have a name that is a combination of your parents name, my name is a combination of my parents name, that is why I want also my child to have a name that is a combination of my name and my wife's name.
