First car!

I'm looking to buy my first car to work on while I work on getting my permit. I'm really debating what kind of car to get. At first I was looking for muscle cars like chevelles mustangs mavericks comets cudas etc but the nice ones are too expensive and I don't know if I can pit the time or money into an older car that needs a restoration, being in highschool I'm going to be very busy. I started looking at some imports like mazdas with body kits and others such as that but I don't know if I'll like them. They're hard to work on and hard to get the parts. I want a car that needs a little love but not a full restoration for around $1000-5000. Does anyone have any suggestions on makes countries specific cars or anything like that? It would be very much appreciated, thanks!

Wow, there is so much out there! For me personally, I would go with something like a mid to late 1990's Camaro. You can get some pretty good deals at that price. And they usually don't require much in repairs (depending on the owner and how they treated the car, of course). Not only do they go for a good price, but you are also getting some power in the engine too! And for $1,000 to $5,000 you will be able to add your own upgrades to suit what you want to get out of your ride! So, if you go this route, you will be able to: get a good quality car, amazing looks, powerful engine, great value, and you will still be able to upgrade/modify or do whatever you want with the extra savings! Good luck!!!
