I decided to start writing for Reviewstream for the past weeks and I have accumulated $200 already, and have had 3 payouts. After the second payout, creating reviews was just a breeze. I opted to create good reviews so that I can earn $2.50 for each, and 95% of my reviews were being bought for that amount. On the 3rd payout, for some reason, every review that I made is rejected as NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH. Can a review of 1300 words still be not-specific enough?!? I have put all my opinions, recommendations and item details for each product that I review. I have done that consistently to earn a lot. And now I am getting only the bulk rate for the same quality of review that I make?!? Anyone who has had the same experience? Do share. Thanks!

I am writing for reviewstream and like you, I aim always for the full amount of $2.5. Sometimes I get it but most of the time I don't. It's difficult to say how reviewstream determines when it will pay the full rate or just the bulk rate. Their home page says that the process is complicated, and I have to agree. There is no pattern that I see. I don't think the length of the review is a guarantee of specificity. What I do is that I set aside the rejected reviews and then go back and look at it with a fresh eye. It is natural to form an attachment to our work and we can easily lose objectivity. I have had more than three payouts but I still cannot get the hang of it. Sometimes, I stop writing for reviewstream for a while and return when I am no longer sensitive to their comments. They can be pretty vague with their comments. But I suspect that they also look at your account and see if they have paid you a lot. They're probably more strict with people that have high payouts.

I think that's the word, inconsistent. I would get notes that the review was great on a product and then somebody else would say that it is not a review. The worst thing about this site is that the people who run it have no people skills at all.

Hey there. Yep I think they are probably looking to monitor people who have had high payouts already. I think also that there is no pattern. I have had 300-word reviews that are paid for $2.50, I have had 1300-word reviews that are being rejected and commented as "not being specific enough". I think they are legit and they really do pay out. But they are quite inconsistent on how they judge a review. My husband has an account and he has had 2 approved reviews for $2.50, and it takes forever for the reviews to be really REVIEWED by the administrators of the site. My sister-in-law and I have been writing a lot of reviews and therefore cashed out quickly, and we have the same fate now. We are not getting 2.50-worth reviews anymore. I will keep on trying to see if I can still get a $2.50-worth article after this. Thanks for your input!

I have had such huge problems with reviewstream that I just gave in. I was submitting articles but I kept getting messages that they were not receiving my articles properly. After my fourth attempt I gave up trying as when they did eventually get my articles, they did'nt offer me the full amount. After all this faffing around it worked out to be a total watse of time and effort.

You might have used special characters which their system cannot read.

Oh yes you are not alone in that observation. I also do review for Reviewstream and I find them too strict these days. All my reviews are getting only bulk rate and only 2 about medicine and vitamin got the regular rate. I noted that if the review is about medicine, they give regular rate provided it is written at least 500 words and descriptive enough. It is not like before that almost all reviews I submitted (except grocery products)received regular rates for as long as written with minimum of 500 words. I also noted that they have returned to the old system of approving reviews. It is now taking almost 4 days before reviews are approved. There was a time when reviews are almost automatically approved and payment is correspondingly credit. It was really the time when I was so inspired and have written so many reviews that generated so much earnings for me. In fact even after reaching the minimum, I would still write more till I reach up to $80 or $100 before cashing out. Some of my payment proof that might just inspire readers are here posted if they care to view. In my case, it was after the 2nd payout that I got mostly bulk rates even for electronics and medicines. But, on the third payout, I got again regular rates. The thing with RS is I cannot predict what will happen. Until now, I get outright rejections for some of my reviews, not even bulk rates. Try to reach payout and see what happens.

They just make it more strict than before. It's not just it's your third payout.

are you writing for them too? How many times have you been paid?I am just concerned because it seems that I am not the only one having this problem. The categories that I have picked and the quality of my reviews have not diminished at all, so I am just worried about what is happening now. One day I get all full amount articles paid, the next day I don't. Thanks for your input!
