I have Internet connection at home, but it sometimes does not work properly or the telephone company would have problems. It is not very cheap, although I struggle to find Web sites that would help me financially in order to pay these bills. I would have to pay a combination of telephone, cell phone, and Internet all together, whenever I can from my parents.

I have internet at home, a broadband connection. It is very convenient for me having it at home instead renting at computer shop, aside from slow connection it is crowded and you don't have any privacy. Now, at least I can surf the net everytime I need it and I want it. So, I can say my monthly bill is worth it.

Internet isn't very expensive where I live. We get it cheap because our internet provider is also our cable, phone service, and cell phone provider. They give us discounts since we have so many services. We're not rich either, that being the reason I joined mylot. I wouldn't mind some extra $$. We actually didn't even own a computer until a couple years ago

The internet is so important for me. So besides using it in the company, I also have the internet connection at home. Although the internet charge is not very cheap, but it is still worth. I love China

When we first moved in to our new place that we rented, plan was to get an internet connection from an Internet Company but then since we have our internet router, we tried to connect it from our computer and surprisingly it worked...so now, instead of getting an internet connection from a Company, we now have a free connection from somewhere and there's no need for a monthly bill payment and it's a good thing :-0

Hi siliguri~ I do have an Internet connection at home. I am disabled and spend alot of time at home and would go absolutely crazy if I didn't! I love the Internet! I do everything from shopping to paying bills online! I read most of the news stories online and research things of interest. I find that I am alot more up to date on things than most people that watch the news on tv! I have a package that is for my landline phone, cable tv and Internet so I get a little bit of savings for having the three services together! And they also offer some other incentives like free movies on Tuesdays at certain Cinemas!

Yes I have but it's not me who pay for the bill; it's my daughter. Fortunately she don't have a time to use it, so to use my free time, I participated in mylot website.

Hi Friend, I do truely understand you as i was in your situation about two years ago. firstly i dint have a computer and i had to pay expensively at internet shops to use the internet as the schools internet was so slow to use and many people had jammed them considering it was free to use no student did want to leave the computer labs in school so i had to use my phone mostly. It came a time when we bought a p.c but it was so expensive to use the internet until an initiative by African companies to team up and the result was four different undersea cables that were built by telecommunication companies in Africa especially on the east part of Africa it came; 1. SEACOM 2. TEAMS 3. EASSY The forth cable is yet to be initialized as its still under construction. the results were a 90% drop in internet cost and a fast network as opposed to satellite that was expensive and slow all the time. Now am able to use the internet at home at a cheaper price as opposed to earlier years where it did cost one up-to $2.00 an hour. Wish you all the best and i pray that your country internet costs drop. CHEERS!

Internet connection is a basic necessity for me since I work at home. I have a regular DSL subscription as well as a prepaid USB internet kit for back-up connection.

I could surf online at home. The price of internet connection here is not very cheap, but is still affordable. The average download speed is 100-200kb per second, which is enough to visit websites and download materials. I wish the speed could be faster in the future so that I could watch HD movies online.

Hello! Fortunately, after a series of debates with me and my husband, i finally agree with him to have an internet connection in our home. I don't want it at first because i thought that it will be another monthly burden on our part together with phone, electric, water and cable bill. My husband was so insistent saying that it would be an advantage for us because he's into buy and sell of second hand vehicles and just like you, he only used computer in the office, he said that its better if we have it at home. Still, i don't want to have it but he won. Right now, i enjoyed having our own internet connection at home and i regret that i didn't agree to it earlier. Once i said this to my sister that im willing to give up everything in our home but not the computer and its internet connection,LOL!
