As the title states, is there anyone on MyLot that play any MOBA games? For those that are not sure, MOBA stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. Examples of these games include Defense of the Ancients (DotA) & Heroes of Newerth (HoN)
I personally play DotA and Warlocks at the moment. I will start playing HoN when I get a new computer in a months time.
The MOBA genre of games is currently my favorite type of game and I wrote an article about my favorite MOBA games here if anyone is interested: http://www.squidoo.com/moba-games
Any other fans of MOBA games out there? Maybe we can play a game together sometime! Let me know your thoughts on this gaming genre - are they better then MMORPG games?

well saying that term makes my inside gooey. it would be better if they rename it to Hero strategy game that would be a better term. its like rpg or fps and such.
the term they use can mean a pvp area for mmorpg

I use to play DoTa but I truly thought they were called MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer On-line Role Playing Game) rather than MOBA... I really think that strategy games like this develops part of your intelligence like spatial intelligence and Inductive reasoning..

MMORPG are a completely different genre of games that focuses more on a persistent universe such as World of Warcraft or Anarchy Online.
The term MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) was introduced by one of the League of Legends developers and is a much more fitting term.
