Can Somebody Help me on Reciprocal Links?

hi there. Can anyone help me what to put on reciprocal links for submitting in a blog directory? I already added the directory's link on my site and put my site as a reciprocal link. Yet upon submission, the directory says they dont see the directory's link on the reciprocal link ive submitted.0.

Their link should be on the page you fill in. If it's not there your submission isn't accepted. Directories don't do wonders for you, and when done manually it's even a time waste. Better go for one-way links.

yeah thats what ive done! I put their link on my homepage so the homepage would have been the reciprocal link. I just dont know why they cant detect it.
