So, I have very very pale skin and I have a nightmare finding foundation. The only one I've found which is anything like my skin tone is l'oreal infallible 015, and to be honest even though the colour is ok the texture isn't great, it is quite chalky.
I've tried just about every brand, maybeline, revlon, maxfactor...you name it i've tried it (apart from the designer brands such as Chanel etc). All of there so called 'ivory' shades are infact orange when put on my skin.
My question is, are you a pale girl? Do you feel your skin shade is catered too?
And if you have a secret pale foundation...TELL ME ;)

Hi,
I guess you need to mix shades to get the right shade. By mixing shades you get the right foundation shade for you.I am not a pale girl but every girl has an issue with finding the right foundation shade. IN your case you have to experiment and try reading online beauty blogs to get an idea on how to. I suggest you check this site www.makeupgeek.com The wesite owner Marlena is such a wonderful person you ca email her your concern and she gets back to you as soon as she can. You can learn a whole lot about makeup by watching her video tutorials for free! I learned a lot from her. You can also try searching youtube about makeup there are a lot of makeup videos in there.

The only reason why the foundation is orange is because you're pale - if you were tanner, you'd have a harder time with foundation because it would be pinker than your skin tone. It's awkward but it happens
Generally, I mix my foundation with my moisturiser; it's easier to apply and lighter on the skin, and lightens the orange undertone. Another way is buying a white foundation. Why? To mix it in with your normal foundation to make it lighter. BarryM sell a cream foundation that is white, so you can mix it with your normal foundation and see how that works...

I did find my perfect foundation colour, but guess what. it got discontinued.
it was BNever in Babydoll.
so I'm back to using the palest mac foundation (which I'm not fully happy with) or Benefit Playstick in the palest shade (which is better, but still not quite right) and a dusting of fancy dress white powder over the top.
my main approach is that I almost never wear foundation. I keep my skin in as good condition as I possibly can so I don't need it.
a big part of my problem is that because I'm part spanish, although I'm pale, I'm olive toned rather than pink toned. so most pale foundations are too pinky for me.
Lush have brought out some pigments that you mix with your moisturiser and blend in. because you blend until it matches, it seems to work on most skin colours (although there isn't yet one for black skin) and on my hand looks fine. i've not tried it on my face yet, but it seems to go quite pale if you use just a little and blend well.
also, it's not named yet, but there's a tinted moisturiser for pale skin in the pipeline.
I have a sample for it, and although it's a touch darker than I'd like, I do like it. it's not a very good moisturiser, I use a moisturiser too. but then that means it will be good on oilier skins too, I suppose.
keep your skin good. and keep foundation for emergencies.
