annoyed when people tell me " you are too choosy, lower down your standards"

I get this all the time. I am single until now but I really do not care. I am not in a hurry to marry or have a bf or what. I just want to make sure I will get what I deserve. I want to wait. Good things happen to those who wait. People keeps telling me " you maybe too choosy in picking your mate.. lower down your standards" I mean I want to tell them to their faces " WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO?" I maybe choosy yes, but in the long run at least I waited for the right person. I am the one to suffer anyway if I will just settle for anyone just to have someone. Besides, why are they so affected with my lovelife? does my being choosy gives a big impact with their lives?

I guess they must lead a boring life if they keep sticking their noses into yours. You have a right to be choosy. After all, you are the one that will live with them. You want to make sure that you choose wisely. There is no rush. Take your time.
