I sometimes hear about different Satanic cults, but never have knew what they do and what kind of people they are or become...So I'm interesting maybe some of you have known or even have participate in such a cult....
Are all Satanic cultists do only bad things?

Yes there's a lot of different groups just like us Christians have our Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians and so on. I'm not a Satanist expert but I do know they aren't all about doing "bad things". I guess you mean that stuff you see on movies like some crazed lunatic sacrificing virgins and talking to goateed men with goat legs. That's just a movie. Al I suppose there might be some out there like that but most of the ones I've met do not believe in causing harm to others. There are also young people that claim to be "devil worshipers" and do stupid things to look cool.

Bubulizzz-
Though cults do exist, just because someone is a Satanist or a member of a Satanic organization does not mean they are involved in a "cult". The largest Satanic organization at this point in time in America is the Church of Satan founded by Aton LaVey. From that sprang The Temple of Set, which though I admit I do not know much about I believe came about when LaVey's daughter was not made the High Priestess after her father's passing, when the organization was taken over by Peter H. Gilmore. I do know there are a few minor organization that run online and have meet-ups by I know very little about them such as The Joy of Satan, Diane Vera's group, and Spiritual Satanism.
As far as beliefs, ask a room of 10 people and receive 10 completely different answers. Some Satanist simply believe that it is a "force" in nature and take a very humanistic approach to life. Others hold the deity Lucifer (which in the Greek means Lightbringer) in a spiritual reverance and complete their rituals around said deity. I would say that the root belief, if I dared to say just one, was simply self-empowerment to its greatest degree. For example, you will rarely catch a Satanist saying things such as "Oh, I can't possibly make it in life, it is just not in my cards" or other such victim statements. Most Satanists/Humanists are just the opposite. They control everything in their life/circle and get exactly what they want out of life.
And yes, I am friends with several that refer to themselves as Satanists. They are some of my closest friends.

Thank you very much for your response. It seems interesting what you said about them. When people only hear about Satanists they automatically think that they are very bad people, but they even don't exam what they believe or do. Also Christian believe can made one point of view about what is Satan without discussing any other cultural mythic or other possibilities.
Really thanks for answer!

Thank you for the BR. Yes, I think that one of the problems in any culture is that sometimes people just do not take the time to ask. We could learn a great deal if we just listened to each other in our society. Have a great day! Namaste-Anora
